Millwall has announced the death of its “beloved” owner John Berylson following a “tragic accident” at the age of 70. In a statement shared on Tuesday night, the Championship club revealed that the American businessman left behind his wife, Amy, and his three children, Jennifer, James, Elizabeth. There was no further explanation about the “tragic accident” the Millwall owner was reportedly involved in. He was appointed as chairman in October 2007 and is credited with overseeing one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, with the South London outfit making the Championship play-offs last season. A statement released by Millwall following the death of its owner read; “It is with a collective broken heart and the deepest of regret that we announce the passing of our beloved owner and chairman, John Berylson. “John, who turned 70 last month, lost his life in a tragic accident on Tuesday morning and the thoughts of everyone at the club are with his wife Amy and three children – Jennifer, James and Elizabeth – and the rest of the Berylson family. “John’s sudden and tragic passing will unquestionably impact all those who were fortunate to have known him. He was truly a great man, incredibly devoted to his family and a person of such remarkable generosity, warmth and kindness.

Source: Getty “He lived a storied life, one full of colour and joy, and was infinitely thoughtful of others with an endless desire to share his immense knowledge and experience to help people. “Under John’s passionate leadership and guidance, Millwall Football Club has enjoyed tremendous success and stability. Since first becoming involved in the club in 2006, he has presided over some of the greatest moments in Millwall’s history, and his influence in providing the platform for those was immeasurable. John continued to speak eagerly about the new season and his vision for the future, and any success moving forward will be in his memory and honour. It will be his legacy. “John revelled in the club’s underdog status and mentality. He related strongly to such values and identity and adored Millwall supporters. He was fiercely loyal to all his staff, and both they and the fanbase will miss him beyond measure. “For those who wish to pay their respects, a book of condolences, which will be shared with the Berylson family, will be opened at The Den from 11am on Wednesday July 5. Those who cannot make it in person to The Den will be able to sign an online book of condolence, which will be available on millwallfc.co.uk in due course. “Rest in peace, John, and thank you. You were loved and adored.”

With the raised sum of money, food was purchased for the woman, and plans were set in motion to build her a new home.

The family of South African rapper, Kiernan Forbes alias AKA, has confirmed his passing after he was riddled with bullets in Durban, South Africa.

Recall that the musician who died aged 30 was said to have been shot at in front of a restaurant while on a night out with his friend and bodyguard. His parents, Tony and Lynn Forbes, confirmed his tragic death in a statement released following his demise. The statement read: “It is with extreme sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved son and confirm his untimely and tragic passing on the evening of February 10 2023. A female corper who identified as Nwaeze Charity Ogonnaya has reportedly lost her life while on her way to her state of deployment.
Reports gathered that the corps member who is currently serving in Akwa Ibom state lost her life getting into an accident on her way to the state.

It was confirmed that the lady embarked on the journey from Ebonyi state but met her death in Abia state on Wednesday, the 4th of January 2023.
The corper’s remains was immediately taken to her hometown as friends and family mourned her unexpected demise.
A friend of the deceased who broke the news to other corps members in the state also revealed that an unidentified person also died on the spot.
The lady added that she left the deceased at the park in Ebonyi state and boarded a different bus.
She said:
“Someone died on the spot. I don’t know her name. It’s Charity I know because I left her at the park. I entered a different bus.”
