Marriage is an institution between two different genders created by God. However, the marriage coach has highlighted why some people should not go into the institution of marriage. According to Linus Elisha, there are five types of people who shouldn’t go into marriage. He mentioned the first type of people who claim “they can’t take nonsense.” He stated that anyone who cannot take the nonsense that comes with marriage is not ready to marry. Secondly,Linus mentioned that any woman who cannot submit to the leadership of her husband has no business with marriage. He quoted a bible verse supporting his submission. Thirdly, he stated that the group of people who cannot easily forgive and let go also have no business getting married. He stated that everyone marries their friend, their lover, a giver, and a forgiver so anyone who cannot forgive cannot marry. Legendary Nigerian artist 2Baba has revealed how sacrificed so many lifestyles in order to make his wife actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia happy.

Speaking with The Sun newspapers during an interview, 2Baba disclosed that marriage to his wife, Annie has made him more responsible as a man. 2Baba recount when he decided never to get married when he was growing up. Nigerian author and social media influencer, Reno Omokri, has revealed that there is no equality in marriage. According to him, men were built to be the head of the family in any marriage institution. He added that when a man asks a woman to marry him, he’s simply vowing to protect her, pay her bills and keep her safe.

He further stated that for a marriage to be blissful, the woman should always be submissive to her husband. In his words: “The happiest marriages happen when women choose, of their own free will, to marry men that they want to follow and obey. The unhappiest marriages occur when women choose to marry men they do not want to follow and obey. There is no equality in marriage. “The husband should always be the head! When a man says to a woman, ‘will you be my wife?’ he is actually applying for a job. The job is to be her boss, pay her bills, and to protect and honour her. Man cites scriptural verse as he opines that equality doesn’t, and cannot exist in marriage. The man identified on Facebook as Achiever Darlington Onyelike took to the platform to say that there cannot be two heads in a home. Achiever Darlington argued that just like how God is the head of the church, the man is the head of the house.

Citing a Bible verse, he argued further that a man cannot be his wife’s best friend; he can only be her Lord. He claimed that majority of women who had married their best friends have divorced. He added also that it is impossible for a man to devote his whole attention to his woman all 24 hours of a day. In his words; “There is no equality in marriage, stop confusing yourself, there are no two heads in a home, just one and that is your husband. Your husband is the head of the family just like God is the head of the church. Your Husband is not your friend, he is your Lord ( 1 Peter 3:6). Majority of those that claimed to have married their friend have divorced the marriages. And there is no way your husband can give you 24hours attention, wont he go to work and make money for the family? that means he Will stay with you from morning till night?
