Why I didn’t try to settle Davido and Burna Boy’s beef – Peruzzi

The Afropop musician Peruzzi has explained why he never made an effort to settle the beef between Burna Boy and Davido. He claimed that since Omo Baba Olowo and the Odogwu singer are “brothers” and the situation is more complicated than most people realize, he was powerless to step in. During an interview on a Zero Conditions podcast episode that Melody, Excel, and Motolani Alake co-hosted, Peruzzi made this claim. The “Gunshot” singer claimed he never agreed to anything and that he didn’t get involved because he is older than both of them.

Peruzzi stated that Burna Boy and Davido will resolve their differences on their own time and without outside intervention. The singer went on to say in the interview that Burna Boy published the song “Pull Up” without telling him, even though he wrote the song and was meant to be on it. But given that what transpired was typical for the industry at the time, he claimed that they were calm and had no ill will towards one another. Motolani asked; “Did any of the funny energy between him [Burna] and David affect you guys relationship?” In response, Peruzzi said; “No, it never did. First of all I am older than both of them, ad I have never been a rubbish guy to anybody, I have never been a yes man. I will always yarn you how things…Because even when they were quarreling [chuckles]. I didn’t try to settle it because it was deeper than normal. You know they are brothers now. They will still settle don’t worry.” “You and Odogwu (Burna Boy). Pull Up. What the fvck happened?” Peruzzi: pic.twitter.com/u6PYSdG8sC — 🐬 @𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗷𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗯𝗼𝘆 (@OneJoblessBoy) December 19, 2023

“Career fades instantly” — Speed Darlington on why singers settle for baby mama instead of marriage

GistReel

Notable US-based Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington, speaks on why singers in the industry settle for baby mama instead of marriage.

"Their career fade instantly" — Speed Darlington on why singers settle for baby mama instead of marriage

Speed Darlington noted that in the entertainment industry, there is a tendency for singers who get married and become parents to fail. He attributed this to the time and effort required to maintain a successful marriage and raise children. He pressed on to provide examples of singers who have faced similar challenges. Speedy named two singers, FoxyP and AfricanApe whom he claimed lost focus after marriage. In reaction to his baby mama claim, a social media user @tenovertenautos wrote, “Let the devil keep speaking through everyone of you and attacking this institution called marriage. I can also count a lot of people whose career picked up after they got married. EVERYONE you just mentioned here never had a really career going on. Their careers were more of a “flash in a pan”. A rave of the moment isn’t same as someone who has a real career.. Marriage is NEVER the problem.” Another user @iamchrisbassey corroborated his claim, “True facts. He just didn’t want to mention certain names. Actoor or music sector once u marry your stardom drops. Necto C . Dr Sid. Chindinma. Mocheeda. Dija. I can continue on and on.” Watch the video below …

Open everyday door that needs to be opened and close every door that needs to be closed. Remove who you need to remove and add who you need to add. Correct me , reposition me , redirect me and guide me. I don’t want to settle for a hallucination of what you placed in my heart , when I can walk in the dream that you gave me. I know I get so overwhelmed trying to worry about the future and often forget that you haven’t led me to a place that wasn’t part of your plan, I Trust the process.”
