Nollywood mourns passing of Sikiru Adeshina

The Nollywood industry is thrown in a mourning state as the veteran Yoruba actor, Mukaila Adedigba, also referred to as ‘Sikiru Adeshina’ passes on. The news was confirmed by renowned Nollywood actor and movie director, Kunle Iyiola Afod, on his Instagram page on Saturday.

According to Afod, the actor passed away in the early hours of May 13, 2023. He further described the deceased as a vast repository of Yoruba knowledge and a devout believer in God. Afod offered his prayers for the peaceful repose of the late actor’s soul. “Another library is burnt down today

Expressing her grief, she stated that she would never understand why God took him and emphasized that his death is unacceptable. Mercy Johnson described her father’s demise as the most painful experience she has ever had. Pete Edochie mourns grandson, Kambilichukwu

Veteran actor, Pete Edochie mourns his grandson, Kambilichukwu who died on Thursday, just 2 months after his 16th birthday.

The actor confirmed the news to Vanguard when he shared that Yul called him on the telephone on Wednesday, informing him that Kambilichukwu fell while playing football with his schoolmates and developed a seizure. According to him, the deceased was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital, Lagos, where he died hours later. The legendary actor said his family started praying for the child immediately after the call. Pete said: “Kambilinachukwu is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child. He’s not somebody you can ride easily. He doesn’t get angry no matter the situation,” “He may change his composure, but he was definitely a very unusual person in so many respects. He was so accomplished. I always tell my son that I don’t like people excelling like this in any thing they are involved in. Experience has taught me that such people don’t last long.”

Notable comedian, Craze Clown, mourns the passing of the former Chelsea player, Christian Atsu, following the announcement of his death.

Atsu’s lifeless body was found on Saturday, 17th of February 2023, twelve days following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria. In a tweet via Twitter, Craze Crown recalled the Ghanaian footballer’s impact on his life when he lost his father in 2015. According to the content creator, Christian Atsu paid his school fees until he graduated from school.

“Christian has been supporting me from way back 2015. When I lost my dad, he l reached out and offered to pay my fees til i graduated and he did 🙏🏾🙏🏾 you’ve been a great friend of mine Chris and I will surely miss you 🙏🏾 I really can’t hold back the tears 🙏🏾🙏🏾 Rest well brother,” he wrote in a heartbreaking tweet. Renowned Afrobeats musician, Burna Boy has paid tribute to the deceased South African rapper, Kiernan Forbes alias AKA who was shot to death.

You may recall that on Friday, February 10, news made the rounds that the South African died on the spot after he was shot by an unknown killer. Burna Boy who had once appeared on Sarkodie’s hit song “Special Someone” in 2014 took to the studio to pay a tribute to the rapper.

In a music tribute, he had recalled how AKA had innocently expressed surprise when he first saw his gun and how he had told him to get one because he thought AKA knew how bad the streets are. Burna Boy prayed that those behind the killing of the rapper be apprehended for their nefarious act. A Nigerian man identified as Idris Elmustapha Daja, has shared his pain online as he loses wife just 11 days after their wedding.

His late wife, Maryam Muh’d Liman, was captured smiling in their wedding photos shared online. Sadly, she died eleven days after their wedding. Idris and Maryam reportedly got married on January 6, 2023, in Niger State and she died on Wednesday, January 18.

She was laid to rest at the Gbakungu burial ground after a funeral prayer at Hajia Fatima Madugu’s residence along Okada Road, Minna on Wednesday morning. Friends and family have taken turns to pen down heartfelt condolence messages to the husband at such a difficult time.

Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo is yet to respond to the public apology of his estranged ex-fiancee Fancy Acholonu as he shares new posts.

Alexx Ekubo has taken to his page to mourn his late grandmother who was buried over the weekend. He shared a video from his hometown making it back home. He disclosed how everyone misses the 92-year-old woman who was buried while asking his grandmother to watch over him and everyone.

Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, has lost her only brother, Anthony Okeiadinmbu Okonkwo, popularly known as Pastor Success Abraham.
It was reported that he died on Christmas day after suffering from a brief illness at an undisclosed hospital in Asaba, Delta State.

He passed on at the age of 54. Prior to his death, he was the immediate elder brother to Rita Daniels and her only surviving sibling.
She described his death on Christmas day as a rude shock and devastating Christmas present. She prayed to God to rest his gentle soul.
