Israel DMW, the aide of prominent singer Davido, has apologized to Muslims on behalf of his boss for the offensive music video that he had promoted. On Saturday, July 22, public outrage had set off after the DMW chief shared a snippet of the music video of his signee, Logos Olori entitled ‘Jaye Lo’ on his Twitter page.

Israel DMW apologizes to Muslims over controversial music video The video which was deemed to be a desecration of the Islamic religion was widely critiqued. Some Nothern youths had taken to the streets to protest and vandalize banners bearing the singer’s face. Amidst the whole controversy, Israel DMW has called for love to reign as he tenders an apology to the aggrieved. According to Israel DMW, the music video had been an entertainment that had been presented wrongly and Davido had only wanted to help promote budding singer’s like he usually does. Israel wrote… “Let me specially apologise to my Muslims brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies. The company stated further that, “It is a season of charity, peace-making and forgiveness. We must use this season to remember to care for the poor and the needy in line with Allah’s injunction to be our brother’s keeper.”
Globacom promised to continue to provide high quality service to help Nigerians connect throughout the season and beyond while wishing all Muslim faithfuls a very happy Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
