A video online shows the moment Nigerian man drags with a vending machine as it refuses to dispense his N200 naira change after purchasing a soft drink. The man who’s a student of American University of Nigeria shared his experience purchasing from a vending machine.

On Thursday, February 16, 2023, the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, declared in a national address that the old N200 notes would remain valid for an additional 60 days. buhari This comes amidst the scarcity of Naira notes both the old and new notes that have rendered the economy in chaos. In the address to the nation, President Muhammadu Buhari stated that the N200 notes will be released and allowed to remain a legal tender for 60 days to ease scarcity.

In his words, “To further ease the supply pressures, particularly to our citizens, I have given approval to the CBN that the old N200 bank notes be released back into circulation and that it should also be allowed to circulate as legal tender with the new N200, N500, and N1000 banknotes for 60 days from February 10, 2023 to April 10 2023 when the old N200 notes ceases to be legal tender.”

Nigerians at a filling station expressed deep rage after they were prohibited from entering without paying a gate fee. The nation appears to be facing an unprecedented challenge as scarcity of fuel and shortage of money continues to take a toll on citizens.

Customers who had gone to a filling station to get some fuel were apparently stopped by a ‘gate man’ who demanded that they pay before everything. A video uploaded online captures the man acting indifferent to the the indignant rage of the customers. He taunted them, asking them to continue making a video of him. Watch the video below;

A lady has recounted her experience with a man who asked her out on a date but brought only N200.
According to the lady who goes by the name @TheOnlyKemi on Twitter, she and the man had met at an eatery and after talking for several hours without making an order, she told him that she was hungry.

The man revealed that he brought 200 naira with him. He added that he had only wanted to see her face, and wasn’t prepared for the date.
Kemi revealed that she decided to make an order only for herself and since she was no longer responding to him, he stood up and left.

“He told me to meet him at ICM, we talked for over 2hours, when I saw that baba wasn’t saying anything about ordering food, I said I was hungry
He told me that he didn’t come prepared, said he only has 200 naira on him that should he get me water. I off
Worst date experience
I got food and he was so embarra sed, he started begging me not to be offended that he just wanted to see my face, in my mind.. what happened to video call? Anyways I was eating my food and when he saw I wasn’t taking to him.. he left. I took my time and enjoyed my date alone
While at it, another guy approached me.. paid for my meals and even ordered more, we saw a movie together and he paid my Uber back home.. Told him about the previous guy and he couldn’t stop laughing, well it turned out well after all. We joke about it from time to time”
