Popular singer, David Adeleke, better known as  Davido has stormed his state of origin, Osun to support his uncle, Ademola Adeleke ahead of the governorship election scheduled to take place on Saturday, 16th July.
OBO who was surrounded by police officers could be seen standing on a Toyota Hilux as the car was being driven slowly.

As expected, spirited chants for the crooner filled the atmosphere as people were excited to see the renowned music star.

Popular singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has reacted after the veteran music star, Tuface Idibia linked up with his uncle, Ademola Adeleke ahead of the Osun gubernatorial election.
It’s no news that the music star’s uncle is an aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and as expected Davido has been campaigning for him.

The Osun Gubernatorial election is scheduled to take place on July 16. Davido in an earlier post had bragged that the people of Osun will resist all attempts to be robbed by corrupt politicians.

The singer whose uncle, Ademola Adeleke is vying for the position under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been creating awareness and campaigning for him lately.

"Osun is not Ekiti, our people will resist all attempts to rob them" - Davido speaks ahead of gubernatorial election

OBO recently took to his Twitter handle to assert that the Osun Governorship election come July 16 will be different from what was obtainable in Ekiti State where votes were sold for different amounts.
He expressed optimism that the people of Osun will resist attempts of being robbed as was done in 2018.
He wrote:
“Osun is not Ekiti as our people will lawfully resist all attempts to rob them as was done in 2018 … July 16 we shall rejoice ! See y’all soon but for now #Backtotour 🌏”

Suspected ritualists kill 22-year-old lady in Osun, dump corpse behind her mother's shop

A day after she was declared missing, a 22-year old lady identified as Shakirat has been found dead.

According to sources, Shakirat had gone missing since March 9th, and was last seen in the early hours of Wednesday afternoon.
To this end, a massive search was conducted for her which led to the discovery of her corpse at the back of her mother’s shop on Thursday, March 10th, at Oke-Oore, Iwo, Osun state.
Report say the victim was murdered and dumped at the location she was found by suspected ritualists.
A source cited by The PUNCH said: “She was last seen Wednesday afternoon and her family members became worried when she did not return in the evening. Her corpse was found behind her mother’s shop very early on Thursday. Some police operatives later came and took the body away. We later learnt that they took her to morgue in Iwo General Hospital.”

Yemisi Opalola, spokesperson of the Osun police State Police Command, who confirmed the development said police had commenced investigation into the incident.
He also added that the command wanted autopsy to be carried out on the corpse, but “the family insisted on burying her and we have released the corpse to the family.”
