The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC made an arrest of 3 Nigerians, who were in possession of 20 PVCs.

According to reports gathered from the commission’s official Twitter page, the 3 Nigerians were arrested in Benin. One of the suspects, Afekhana Esther, was arrested at Ward 1, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ikpoba Okha, Benin City with 20 PVCs belonging to different people. Esther claimed that Comfort Muoneke, a 73-year-old woman, and Segun Osaimokhai handed the PVCs over to her. EFCC promises to arraign them in court, as soon as the investigation is completed.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on the 25th of February 2023, intercepted a woman with 18 PVCs in Kaduna State.

The incident reportedly occurred in the Badarwa area of Kaduna, Kaduna State. The suspect identified as Maryam Mamman Alhaji, a member of the support group of one of the leading political parties, also had in her possession, a 17-page list containing names of eligible voters, their bank details, and phone numbers as accredited under Badarwa/Malali Ward 01 and 08, Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State. She was nabbed after undercover operatives pretended they had voter cards and were desperate to sell them. The culprit is currently being grilled by operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC. EFCC is also in the process of unravelling other members of her syndicate whom she claimed are also collecting voters’ cards and paying monies through PoS or direct bank transfers

The 2023 elections are just around the corner but sadly, a lot of people are yet to receive their PVCs. A video has popped up online revealing why a lot of people are yet to receive their PVCs. In the video, it could be seen that thousands of PVCs of people were dumped in the refuse by an unknown person. According to the man in the video, there were reports that some persons planned to discard the PVCs of people from the South Eastern part of Nigeria. Popular actor and comedian, Williams Uchemba discloses how motivated he is and the length he’d go to get his permanent voters card.
With the 2023 elections drawing nigh, and the flagbearers of the major parties chosen, citizens of Nigeria are set to elect their leaders.

The actor who is at the moment in Enugu state has said that he’s willing to stay long eight hours to do his PVC than suffer another eight years under the wrong choice.
The father of one has urged Nigerians to endure the eight hours of PVC registration so they’d not suffer another eight years.
He wrote;
“I’ll rather wait eight hours for my PVC to be ready than another eight years of misery. The process might not be easy but remember how important your vote will be.8hrs wait is better than 8years of pain.”
