Man in debt cries as wife refuses to cook for children or talk to him over failure to buy sallah ram

"My wife doesn't love me "- Man in debt cries as wife refuses to cook for children or talk to him over failure to buy sallah ram

In a rather distressing situation, a Nigerian man has taken to social media to express his frustration over his wife’s refusal to cook for their children or communicate with him. The reason behind her actions, he claims, stems from his failure to purchase a Sallah ram this year.

Photo Credit: @Abdullahimisilli Source: Twitter The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, had an unbroken tradition of buying a ram for each Eid celebration over the past 12 years. However, financial difficulties, including mounting debts and the children’s school fees, prevented him from adhering to this tradition in 2023. The story was originally shared on Twitter by Abdullahi Misilli, a public servant, who attributed the account to journalist Lawan Bukar Maigana. The man, speaking anonymously, expressed his disappointment at his wife’s lack of understanding and support during this challenging period. Despite having ₦100,000 (Nigerian Naira) in his possession, he claimed that his wife’s behavior demonstrated her lack of love towards him, as she had never stood by him during difficult times. The man said; “I have 100k in my pocket. I would go buy a small ram for her, but Allah knows that my wife doesn’t love me because she never supports nor helps me in difficult times.”  He further disclosed that the only reason he had not divorced his wife yet was due to their children. @Erbdoul said; “May God help us, but the truth is children are the reason why some men (if not many) rethink whenever the issue of divorce bout slide in. And unfortunately, just unfortunately “there will always be a problem one way or the other”. So patience is just the thing but is difficult.”  @Kekksco said; “Thus incidences like these make the yet-married youths like us to be doubting on whether or not to settle for marriage soon. Ungratefulness. “May Allah ease their affairs, guide his spouse and family to the right path and continue to guide the entire Ummah to the righteous way.” @sadiqsolar said; “He shouldn’t buy it “for her” but see it as the ibadah that it is and if he’s not financial stable at that time,it is not mandatory for him.” @Drbabatundesaka said; “It is said that at some point in married life, the love from the woman gets tied to the provision the man makes even though it wasn’t so at the beginning.” See below; Yesterday, a married man, after listening to BBC Hausa news, told me that his wife has stopped talking to him and refused to cook for his children since the first day of Sallah because he didn’t buy a ram for her. Shortly, two of his children came and asked for money for… — Abdullahi Misilli (@Abdallahmisilli) June 30, 2023

Saudi Arabia declares Friday as Sallah after sighting moon

Saudi Arabia has sighted the crescent moon and announced the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which signals the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The official Saudi Press Agency cited a royal court statement on its Twitter account, stating that Friday is the first day of Eid al-Fitr for this year, with Thursday being the last day of Ramadan. “Tomorrow, Friday, is the first day of Eid al-Fitr for this year,” the statement reads. The timing of Eid al-Fitr is determined by the sighting of the crescent moon according to the Muslim lunar calendar. Typically, the holiday is celebrated with family gatherings. Ramadan, a month of daytime fasting, is one of the five pillars of Islam, during which observant Muslims refrain from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk. It is also a time of prayer, with the faithful gathering in large numbers at mosques, particularly at night. Fasting is widely practiced in Saudi Arabia, which is home to the holiest shrines in Islam in Mecca and Medina. For Eid al-Fitr, Saudis are expected to observe a four-day holiday.
