The recent news about the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, being detained at a UK airport has been debunked by Obi himself. In an interview with Arise TV on Monday night, Obi clarified that he was not detained but rather stopped for a routine immigration check. The former governor of Anambra State disclosed that the immigration check lasted for less than 20 minutes, and he was treated with due respect and VIP treatment. He attributed the incident to the duplication of his identity by someone.
Obi emphasized that he was never arrested, and the immigration officials only wanted to verify his identity. He noted that he was given VIP treatment throughout the process, contrary to the reports circulating on social media. Obi said, “I was stopped for a routine immigration check in the UK because it appears that my identity was duplicated by someone. I was never arrested. I was treated with due respect and walked through the VIP process. Everything lasted less than 20 minutes.” The clarification by Obi has put to rest the rumors and speculations that he was detained by UK immigration officials. It highlights the importance of verifying news before circulating it on social media to avoid spreading false information.
A Benin university student who speaks with a British accent has explained how he acquired it. Apparently, the student had gone viral after a prior video of him made the rounds on social media in which he had been interviewed by a fellow student.
Curious netizens had begun asking questions about how he acquired the exotic accent. According to the student identified as Aaron, he had been born with the accent. He explained that his dad who teaches spoken English had also had an impact on how he speaks. Aaron who added that he might end up becoming a journalist or presenter after his education, said that he watches lots of British shows and the BBC to improve his accent. Watch the video below:

Despite Sevilla’s struggles in La Liga, sitting 13th and still not safe from the threat of relegation, the Andalusians outfought and outplayed Manchester United, third in the Premier League. With the tie level at 2-2 from the first leg, Harry Maguire failed to control a pass from David de Gea after just seven minutes, which allowed Erik Lamela to pick the ball off him and pass it to Youssef En-Nesyri for an easy finish. Loic Bade headed home early in the second half and En-Nesyri added another after a David de Gea mistake. 
Expressing his frustration after the match, Erik ten Hag aimed at the mistakes that had been committed by De Gea as he pinpointed the reason for his team’s defeat. He said; “It’s clear. When we make such mistakes, it’s difficult to win a football game. It’s a problem and we have to acknowledge it but against Brighton, we have an opportunity to work on that. You have seen what I have seen. We were not composed or calm. “It’s a problem, we can’t run away from it. On Sunday we have to step up and show more character and more personality.”

Popular Nigerian comedian, Julius Agwu, has shared his opinion on Basketmouth and AY’s saga. Julius Agwu maintained that the ongoing beef between the two comedians is definitely not because of N30,000 as they both claimed.
According to Julius, something else must have ignited the beef and using N30k as an excuse could just be a coverup for the main issue. Nollywood actress, Mary Njoku has spoken out regarding the scandal surrounding the divorce of Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi.
According to the actress, it is unlikely that any mother, particularly an African mother, would completely let go of her teenage son, regardless of whether he is married or not. Njoku went on to suggest that many of the contracts signed by Hakimi were likely signed when he was underage, and therefore, putting his assets in his mother’s name was not intentional.
Instead of attempting to recover her husband’s assets, Njoku believes that Hiba Abouk should have focused on making more money for herself. Ex big brother Naija housemate and Reality tv star, Saga has recently addressed rumors surrounding his engagement to his colleague, Nini.
In an interview with Naija fm, Saga revealed that the video that had circulated online was an old clip from last year, during a skit that he and Nini had been filming. He clarified that he had no knowledge of how the video had leaked and expressed his disappointment in the way it had been cropped to only show the engagement scene.

Famous American movie star, Nick Cannon has revealed that he’s willing to have his 13th child with the popular songster, Taylor Swift.
The Hollywood star made this known while speaking with Howard Stern on Monday who asked him whether he thinks his family is complete. He said, however, that there’s no way of answering that satisfactorily. “Every time I answer this question it I can never answer it correctly,” he said. When the host, Howard Stern, suggested that if he’d welcome another child, it should be someone special, and cited Taylor Swift.
Cannon enthusiastically accepted the suggestion, saying that he’s willing to have a child with the singer. “I’m all in,” Cannon agreed. Laughing, he added: “First of all she’s an amazing songwriter. What I do love about Taylor Swift is that she has been so vulnerable and open with all of her music.” He further added: “I think she would relate to me very well based off of like yo, you’ve dated a lot of people in the public eye, so have I,” he said. “We probably will really understand each other.”
