A South American man was apprehended in Nigeria with nearly 10kg of cocaine stashed in condoms by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

According to the spokesperson for the agency, Femi Babafemi, the individual claimed to be in Nigeria to search for his long-lost father. Babafemi stated that the suspect had hidden the cocaine in latex condoms and factory-sealed perfume bottles. The identity of the individual, however, remains unknown at the time of this publication. “Good morning and happy Easter friends here. Our update today is on a young man who left his base in South America in search of his long-lost Nigerian father and decided to come with almost 10kg of cocaine concealed in jumbo-size latex condoms, factory packed in perfume bottles,” Babafemi wrote on his Facebook page Sunday morning.  “Give it to men of the @ndlea_nigeria, they busted him at the PHIA a few hours ago as this video shows,” Babafemi added. It would be recalled that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) redesigned the N200, N500, and N1000 notes and placed an ultimatum on when the old notes expire. In a video making the rounds on social media, a man ranted about the amount of old N1000 and N500 notes kept under his bed by his wife. He revealed that the discovery was not intended, rather his charger fell under the bed, hence, the shock of seeing that much money under his bed. He pressed on to lament how his wife always insisted on being broke whenever monetary issues are raised in the house. Watch the video below …
