“I’m sorry, I lied – Mr Ibu’s wife, Stella Maris makes U-turn, apologizes to AGN
Stella Maris, the wife of Mr. Ibu, has provoked outrage with a viral video in which she apologizes to the AGN following internet accusations. Stella first expressed her regret to the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria (AGN) for turning down their assistance due to her husband’s medical condition in an interview with Uche Maduagwu. Stella disclosed that she was tricked into saying her spouse was not helped by the body while he was a member. In support of her latest allegation, the actor’s spouse—who has been embroiled in a legal battle with his “daughter,” Jasmine—exposed that the public relations representative for the guild, actress Kate Henshaw, visited her husband in the intensive care unit.

Mr Ibu‘s second son, Daniel Okafor denies the allegations made by his stepmother, Stella Maris regarding the control of the account where donation is made. Stella had previously taken to her Instagram page, asserting that Jasmine, the actor’s adopted daughter, had taken control of the bank account where monetary contributions for the ailing actor were made by compassionate Nigerians.

In a new revelation uncovered by The Punch, Jasmine was contacted to give an insight on the ongoing allegations but refused to give details. “I do not want to be involved with the online drama, at least not yet. I am more concerned for Daddy’s well-being,” she said. She, however, directed the news publication to reach out to the actor’s second son, who introduced himself as Daniel Okafor.
Mr Ibu and his adopted daughter, Jasmine. “My name is Daniel Okafor; I am John Okafor’s second son. There is no truth in what Stella Maris has been sharing online. Jasmine does not have access to that account; I have access to it. I am the signatory to the account and my father’s next of kin,” he stated. Daniel added that Stella Maris is his stepmother but refused to share more details about his mother. “She is my stepmother. My mother is not around at the moment,” Daniel said.
