Why my family never supported me

Why my family never supported me

Nigerian Instagram comedian, Aloma Issac Junior, popularly known as Zicsaloma, has shared that at the beginning of his career, his siblings challenged his passion for music and content creation. In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Zicsaloma said they would interrupt his creative process and even destroy his collection of musical CDs. Zicsaloma recalled instances when he was supposed to bring family and friends to The Voice, a music competition in South Africa, but could only take his mother because his siblings never supported him. Despite the lack of encouragement from his family, Zicsaloma persisted in pursuing his dreams. He mentioned that his siblings would tell him to keep quiet when he was singing or creating content, undermining his aspirations. However, Zicsaloma’s determination paid off, and he has now become the “chief cornerstone” in his household, achieving success in the entertainment industry. In his words; “It was a situation where I was always singing, shouting and they would tell me to keep quiet, that I was making noise. I can remember even having some musical CDs like Celine Dion then. Before I return home, I will see all my CDs shattered by my brothers. When I even started content creation, it was another battle. “I will be creating content and my brother will just come and turn on music. If they were even prospects of who would succeed at that point, obviously not me. But see it now, I am the chief cornerstone in the house.” Despite the initial resistance from his family, Zicsaloma’s talent and hard work propelled him to success, proving that he has what it takes to thrive in the entertainment world. @A-Manda reacted; “Same way my sister said me struggling to go to school is a waste, no one in my house is a graduate, I’d be in final year next year.” @user588761690591 said: “It is well. Just forgive them, but keep them far from you.” @Niyi Opeyemi Esther said: “There’s absolutely nothing that will make me settle with my older brothers, times when I needed them nobody showed up and even held my inheritance.” @Big Bold & Beautiful said: “Isaac has been very optimistic and humble from Way back in kaduna when we were in the choir in house on the rock. God has been faithful.” Watch the video below: @withchude “I deliberately declined taking my siblings along with me, for a competition in South Africa because they never supported my talent.” — ZicSaloma To watch the full episode, go to watch.withchude.com or listen to the podcast on listen.withchude.com. — An extended cut of the interview is already on YouTube. — Have any issues with your subscription? Photo credit: Iyabo Ojo. Source; google She lamented about how she has been paying different tax bills for her business and house and how she was given an outrageous tax bill and a 7-day ultimatum for payment. She wrote on her page, “I don’t know how much you think I get paid. Hence, your team will come up with this conclusion. What have you people ever done for me as a government? NOTHING!!! I have single-handedly raised my kids & so many others, plus myself without a single denial from the government. Yet you feel so entitled to reaping over 100% from where you did not sow. I have worked, and I’m still working tirelessly to survive in this country without the support of the government, but….” “You can gladly come n close down my business, arrest me, jail me, or kill me for all I care …. we all will die one day & I will never be afraid of what will eventually be everyone’s faith… what I do not have I can not give .” In an Instagram live video, Iyabo Ojo disclosed that a close source has disclosed to her that she is being attacked because she threw her weight behind the candidate for Labour Party, Peter Obi. In a new post sighted on her page, she emphasized that she cannot be shaken or bullied because she will never bow to any tribal bigots. “I stand & re stan obediently on my beliefs. I can never be pressured or shaken. I will never bow down to tribal bigots… I want a better Nigeria, I don’t care whose ego gets bruised. We can not all believe in the same thing. I see no tr!be. I only see my country. I’m a Nigerian… I am not afraid of death, for that is inevitable. I will never be afraid to air my opinion, for that is my right…
I have no enemies. We may not all believe in the same course, we may not see things the same way but you’re not my enemy bcos at the end of the day, either, good or bad. We’re in together. We’re all citizens of Nigeria.
I have empathy for my country & not for stomach infrastructure. If after 8 years Nigeria has renewed hope, then my beliefs may change, but till then, I obediently stand on my beliefs.
If you didn’t make me, you can’t break me, you can take the body but never my soul”.

Davido, usually vocal on political issues, had not shared his views on the election, leaving his followers guessing. However, in a recent Channel4news interview, he disclosed that he supports himself as a leader. The artist acknowledged that the elections had been challenging for Nigerians and expressed happiness at the reception of his latest album, “Timeless.” When asked about other artists who had spoken out during the election, Davido refused to criticize them for their silence. He noted that everyone has different views, and some may not feel equipped to handle political activism. The artist’s revelation shows that many Nigerian celebrities are actively interested in politics, with fans and commentators urging them to use their influence to drive change. Despite some hesitance from some quarters, Davido’s statement demonstrates that he is willing to engage in political discourse and even suggests that he has aspirations beyond his music career. “The elections were tough. It was a tough period for Nigerians. I’m happy that I drooped the album and it was accepted. I know people are still going through a lot in the country and everybody knows that even in the past I have been vocal about politics.” he said. Speaking about other artists who were vocal about the election, he said: ” I don’t blame. Some people have families, and children. Do you understand? Some people are built for it, some people are not and I can’t blame anybody. I’m sure everybody has their views personally, you know? And if you dint want to talk about it, it’s obvious where you stand.” Speaking of the leader he is supporting, he said: ”Myself, I’m a leader myself” Watch the video below:

A Twitter user identified as Adetutu Balogun pointed out that Toyin Abraham played the role of a politician that fought tirelessly for the freedom of the oppressed. However, in reality, she stands against the character portrayed in the Gang of Lagos by supporting the APC party.

“Nollywood will act but will not learn from it. In Gangs of Lagos,
@ToyinAbraham contested as a Gov. She was fighting a family that has held the state hostage for 20yrs. She wanted a change! In real life Toyin supported “Asiwaju baby” who has held Lagos hostage for 20 yrs+!” she wrote.
