Man cancels his wedding on D-Day after finding out that the bride reportedly slept with her ex-boyfriend a few days before their ceremony in Plateau state. The account was shared by the bride’s makeup artist, Linda Gagara, who stated that the incident had left her in tears.

Wedding canceled. According to the report, the wedding ceremony was meant to hold on December 16, 2023 in Ganawuri, Riyom Local Government Area of the state. The makeup artist revealed that she was just about to start making up the bride when the family appeared and canceled the wedding. Linda Gagara added that in that moment, the bride immediately called the groom in order to hear from him, and he told her that he had no interest in getting married to her anymore. From one of the comments, it was gathered that the man got to know about her infidelity during the Sendforth prayers ( Plateau cultural event held for brides a few days before their wedding). The said ex-boyfriend had bragged, during the Sendforth, about sleeping with the bride without knowing that it was the groom he was telling. She wrote … “I really saw something today as the makeup artist of the bride to be. Since yesterday nite that I was with her (bride) n family, to this morning when it was called off,” she wrote. “Wedding that was supposed to happen at dime minute when I was about to start up makeup, ended up just like that. Groom reportedly calls off his wedding just a few minutes to walking down the aisle with his bride as he claims that he is no longer ready for the marriage. The incident was reported by a Facebook user identified as Longji Benshak who shared the account and a photo of the alleged couple.

A Nigerian man, identified as Ushie Benard, has penned an emotional tribute to his late fiancée who passed away one year ago. Two weeks before her wedding, on December 12, 2022, Blessing Ebodo, a nurse from the Bekwarra Local Government Area in Cross River State, passed away in a car accident.

On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, Ushie wrote a heartfelt ode to Blessing on Facebook. He wrote: “Exactly one year today you traveled and never returned home alive. Your death shattered my heart and left me in pains, your love and care will never be forgotten. Saying goodbye is not easy. It’s the hardest thing to do. A 23-year-old bride-to-be identified as Nelly Chepkoech reportedly called off her wedding just a few hours before the scheduled ceremony in Kenya. Nelly and her fiancé, Amos, were initially set to exchange vows on Saturday, December 9, 2023, in Bomet County.

As reported by Citizen Digital, Nelly contacted the officiating pastor mere hours before the ceremony, expressing her decision to postpone the wedding. Pastor Clement Chalulot of Kapsoyo AGC Church, who was to officiate the ceremony, revealed that the unexpected development occurred when Nelly conveyed her decision to proceed with the wedding. “The communication from the presiding reverend that the bride had changed her mind halted everything and brought the entire plans to a halt,” explained Pastor Chalulot. The wedding cancellation was also confirmed on a WhatsApp group where attendees were shocked to receive the news while prepping for the party. “Hi everyone, hope you are fine. Thanks for your support towards Amos and Nelly’s wedding. This is an official communication to our members here and the public at large. OUR SCHEDULED WEDDING PLANNED FOR TOMORROW has been postponed until further notice. We will communicate with you, and we are sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for your understanding,” stated a committee member.

A close friend of the couple and a member of the wedding committee also confirmed the report, revealing that Nelly had expressed doubts about proceeding with the wedding. “Good morning friends, many friends of Amos and Nelly are calling me asking me why the wedding was postponed. The MAIN REASON is NELLY REQUESTED TO BE GIVEN MORE TIME. The CHURCH and the parents from both sides CONSIDERED her request. Thanks for understanding,” the text stated.

Members of the WhatsApp group were, however, unsatisfied with the reasons stated, questioning whether Nelly was the cause of the delay. “Tell us why the wedding has been postponed. Let’s see if we can help our girl; it’s important for us to know if she is the cause of the postponement. I see you people keep mentioning Amos, Amos [like he is the cause]),” a member quizzed.

Meanwhile, speculation has arisen regarding Nelly’s abrupt change of heart, with some suggesting the possibility of her former lover making a return. Reports indicate that Nelly was in a relationship with her ex for five years, and she had been dating Amos, the groom, for six months.
