Ex-Super Eagles coach Paul Hamilton is dead, as confirmed by his wife after he was bedridden for a while as a result of his left leg.
According to Complete Sports Nigeria, the 75-year-old, born July 31, 1941, had been bedridden after his left leg was amputated at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
However, Hamilton’s wife Durdy confirmed the sad news on Thursday when Complete Sports Nigeria called her. Mrs Hamilton in a sober mood said “My husband is dead o. What you heard is true. As I speak with you, I’m at the Military Hospital in Yaba,”
“As I speak with you, I’m with some doctors for a meeting.”
Hamilton was a onetime Super Eagles and Super Falcons head coach.
Two former Super Eagles coaches, Stephen Keshi and Shaibu Amodu, died last year.
