The Dutch footballer De Jong Siem is due to return to Newcastle at the end of the season having joined PSV Eindhoven at the start of the season in a move designed by Rafa Benitez to get him regular football; this is after a couple of years battling against injuries since signing from Ajax.
According to Vital Football; De Jong Siem has a contract with Newcastle through until 2020 with the Dutch international ready to fight for his first team place next season.
He was quoted by NU Sports via Chronicle Live as saying ‘I want to return. Newcastle United is a great club, especially when they play in the Premier League. I hope there are opportunities I’m going to get and I want also to fight.’

Moreover, Fitness issues have limited De Jong to just 26 games, with the midfielder scoring two goals since arriving from Ajax for £6m in 2014.
De Jong Seim again has struggled for regular football this season as the 28 year old has been limited to just 13 appearances with him scoring four goals. Only five of these games with PSV have been as a starter too.
Also, Benitez has keep in regular text contact with De Jong Siem alongside with him part of the clubs WhatsApp group – who has confessed his fitness isn’t where it needs to be. But he finished by saying he’s hopeful it will be for next season and this will be at St James’ Park.
‘My fitness is not there yet as I`d like it to be, but hopefully I can prepared and be ready for when the new season starts again. The coach (Benitez) occasionally sends a text message to me, and it`s nice that he does. I follow Newcastle closely too, I`m even in the WhatsApp group.’
