Haye suffered the shock defeat at the O2 Arena on Saturday night after his trainer was forced to throw in the towel in the 11th round. Meanwhile Haye had been struggling with the injury since the sixth but it was game over when he went through the ropes and struggled to get up.
Notwithstanding, David Haye is confident he will get back to full fitness after his Achilles injury during the defeat to Tony Bellew
And he has now undergone surgery and says he will back to full strength.
According to Express “Back home now chillin’ with feet up, after a very successful Achilles reattachment surgery,” he said on Instagram.
“Strangely after such an action packed fight, I have no aches and pains other then my freshly Reattached Achilles.
“Professor James Frame and Kevin Lidlow are very happy with the outcome of my surgery, and are very confident of a 100% recovery back to full fitness.
“I’m truly overwhelmed with all the positive messages of love and support. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all.
