Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham breaks silence following her unsuccessful bid to win an award at the recently concluded Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) event. Toyin had shed tears of joy when she got three nominations at the 2023 AMVCA; which she expressed surprise about.

Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, has warned prying ladies to stay away from her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi. Sharing a video of herself and her husband, the mother of one advised ladies to take their eyes off their man.

The actress further kicked against the idea of seeking to be a second wife, noting that it would only bring bad luck. She warned: “Have you seen his face don’t allow my husband enter your eyes? Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham continues to face backlashes over her support for Tinubu with respect to her role in the latest movie, Gangs of Lagos.

It would be recalled that during the 2023 presidential elections, the actress unapologetically supported the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and has since been ridiculed for it. A Twitter user identified as Adetutu Balogun pointed out that Toyin Abraham played the role of a politician that fought tirelessly for the freedom of the oppressed. However, in reality, she stands against the character portrayed in the Gang of Lagos by supporting the APC party.

Nollywood actress and movie producer Toyin Abraham has lamented over how netizens bullied and trolled her due to her choice of candidate.

Recall that Toyin Abraham threw her weight behind the presidential candidate for APC, Bola Tinubu before and after the elections. Social media users dragged her into the mud for supporting Bola Tinubu. During a Twitter space organized by social media influencer Ogbeni Dipo Toyin Abraham opened up on why she will never support Peter Obi and his party. According to Toyin, some Obidients tried to destroy her career and take away her means of livelihood by petitioning Netflix to remove her movies from their platforms. She also shared screenshots of some of the messages some of Obi’s supporters sent to Checkers Custard, threatening to boycott the brand unless they removed Toyin Abraham as one of the brand ambassadors. Popular actress, Toyin Abraham has reacted to the verbal attacks she’s been receiving over her support for the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

You may recall that the actress had openly declared her support for the former Lagos state governor. However, various Nigerians and celebrities had called her out and ridiculed her for supporting a party which had blatantly rigged the results; some had alleged that she had been paid to show support for Tinubu. Reacting to this allegation, Toyin Abraham said that if she has been paid for to support her candidate, then their curses could take effect; however, it won’t if she chose the APC candidate out of her own volition. She added that nothing would lead to her demise and her star would never stop shining. Toyin Abraham wrote in Yoruba: “Ti mo ba gba owo, imo yin ase le mi Lori but if it’s just my choice and nothing more gbagbe eni ti je gbi ko le ku gbi A. Emi oluwatoyin dada mi 0 ni ku gbi ati pe irawo mi ko ni wo omi ge” Which translates to: “If I collect money, your knowledge will come to pass on me but if it’s just my choice and nothing more forgetting the person that eats gbi cant die I Oluwatoyin good I will not die and my star will not fall into water”

Popular Nollywood actor, Kolawole Ajeyemi dissociates himself from his wife, Toyin Abraham, amidst the backlash trailing her political party affiliation in the 2023 elections.

Toyin Abraham who is a stern supporter of the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has since been faced with backlash over her choice of party. Despite the attacks from opposition party supporters, she carried the flag of APC unperturbed. In a recent post via Instagram, Kolawole Ajeyemi addressed trolls coming for him and his children while emphasizing that he had nothing to do with his wife political stance.

“Good day everybody, it’s not like I asked anyone of you to vote for any candidate or campaigned for any party and the fact that my wife is supporting a specific party doesn’t mean that I’m supporting her. So, those of you laying curses on my children I rebuke it all and I wish you all the same. And I repeat I did not campaign for any candidate,” he wrote.

Ex Big Brother Naija housemate, Alex Unusual has extensively blasted Nigerian celebrities who are supporting APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The reality star took to her Instagram page to rant over alleged rigging being carried out by the All Progressive Congress and some celebrities who still support them despite their blatant corrupt practices.

According to her, these celebrities have sold their souls because they know that they’d gain something if the APC candidate emerges president. She described these celebrities as the agents of darkness and adding that they’d never come across joy in their lives.

Popular skit maker, Nasboi has unfollowed and blocked Nollywood actresses, Toyin Abraham and Eniola Badmus for supporting Tinubu despite reports of electoral malpractices.

You may recall that the two thespians had declared their unwavering support for the politician prior to the election.

While elections results are already rolling in, Nasboi took to his social media page to ask Toyin Abraham, Eniola Badmus and Seyi Law if they had witnessed the rigging going on by their party. He shared a video capturing him unfollowing and blocking them on his Instagram page.

Nasboi wrote: “Dear Eniola badmus, dear @toyin abraham and @seyilaw1 did you witness the riggings??? You saw videos right? Are you proud? Lmao! I regret ever looking up to you guys…… I am not sure I did.”

Toyin Abraham reacts to claims of securing UK visa for her family despite supporting Tinubu

Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, addresses the claims of securing a visa for her family abroad, hence her reason for supporting Tinubu.

The actress came under fire once again over her choice of Presidential candidate, the APC’s Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a social media user accused her of bagging a UK visa for herself and her family. “I’m not a person to do this , but Toyin this is beyond funny , why is your husband, step daughter , mother in law , mother on the Uk Queue fighting for visa, yet you are seeing the future, whilst relocating your fam, is that not hypocrisy.. Pls do better. I await ur response,” a Twitter user alleges. In response, Toyin Abraham emphasized that the troll simply cooked up lies to ridicule her electoral rights of voting for Tinubu. She, however, stated intentions not to sue the troll for defaming her character with false claims. “My mum inlaw has never being to Uk or Uk embassy, relocating my family to Uk, I won’t sue you for your lies I will let it slide🙏you know why? By this tomorrow Asiwaju will be victorious, I know my choice is why u decided to cook up this lies but God will forgive u”, she wrote.
