He acknowledged feeling fortunate and satisfied as a politician, having previously held positions such as military governor of Borno State in 1976, Minister of Petroleum Resources in the same year, and Head of State from 1983 to 1985. Buhari also expressed gratitude to the citizens for enduring his eight-year presidency, which began with his inauguration on May 29, 2015. Buhari’s Apology to Those Hurt by His Administration “Those that think that I have hurt them so much, please pardon me,” Buhari said when he hosted a controlled number of guests at the ninth and final Sallah homage held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. “I think this is a very good coincidence for me to say goodbye to you and thank you for tolerating me for more than seven and a half years. “I honestly consider myself very lucky; I was made a governor, minister of petroleum, head of state in uniform, then after three attempts, God, through technology and PVC, I became president. I think God has given me an incredible opportunity to serve as your president. And I thank God for that. “So, please, whoever feels I have done wrong to them, we are all humans. There is no doubt I hurt some people and I wish you will pardon me. And those that think that I have hurt them so much, please pardon me.”  Buhari’s Retirement Plan “I am counting the days. Democracy is a good thing; otherwise, how can somebody from the other side be a president for two terms? From my home town to the Niger Republic is eight kilometers. “I assure you, I have deliberately arranged to be as far away from you as possible, not because I don’t appreciate the love you’ve shown to me, but because I think I’ve gotten what I have asked and I would rather quietly retire to my hometown (Daura, Katsina).”

Seun Osewa apologizes to Igbos over advert on his page

The founder of NairaLand, Seun Osewa apologizes to the Igbos over an advert placed on his platform concerning the just-concluded elections. Seun Osewa Seun apologizes to the Igbos via his website, over a political advert that was made on his page. The advert stated, “Lagos can never be run from Anambra; go and vote.” He insists that his platform should have had a “clear policy” against such misleading adverts. As a means to further express his regret, Seun promises to double the N16K made from the ad and donate to victims of “political violence in Lagos.” Seun wrote: “Seun Osewa 1 I Zr @seunosewa
An Apology To The Igbo People Of Nigeria by Seun(m): 3:39 pm
Dear Igbo People,
I sincerely apologize for allowing a toxic political banner advert that said, “Lagos can never be run from Anambra; go and vote” to run on Nairaland for several hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
The mischievously worded banner advert appears to have been part of an ethnically divisive political campaign aimed at securing Lagos State for the ruling party by instilling fear in Yoruba people, making them believe that Igbo people intended to “take over” Lagos State. Such ethnically divisive political campaigns have no place in a forward-thinking democracy, and for this reason, the ad should have been taken down instantly. No harm was intended, but my lack of forethought about the ethics of that type of advert led to a disappointing outcome. We should have had a clear policy against accepting negative and ethnically divisive ads on Nairaland, we should have communicated it to all advertisers, and we should have taken down any advert that violated that policy instantly. This will all be in place before the next election.
We made almost N16,000 from the ad. We will double it and donate it to victims of political violence in Lagos.
Please, do NOT give up on Nigeria. The times are challenging, but TOGETHER, we will overcome.
Sincerely, Seun Osewa.” See post below;

Burna Boy apologizes to fans after delaying

Multi-talented Nigerian singer, Burna Boy finally tenders a heartfelt apology to his Lagos fans after, lashing out at them during his concert.
Burna Boy
Burna Boy, whose real name is Oluwadamini Ebunluwa Ogulu had earlier announced that he would be opening the year with his Lagos concert.
On the 1st of January, 2023, the proposed concert failed to kick off in time, due to a 7-hour delay by the Grammy-award-winning singer.
Rather than take full responsibility, Burna Boy said ‘sour’ words to his already agitated fans adding that “God will punish those of them who do not love him.” However, things took a different turn last night, after Odogwu tendered an apology to them.
Read Burna’s apology below;
“Lagos,
I love you but I can’t do this again. The organisational structure and infrastructure is not there for the complexities of my audio and Production needs.
Let’s be clear. I wasn’t late, my band wasn’t late. We pride ourselves on being highly professional especially with our stage craft. There were three options available to me; wait for audio to be fixed and delay the show, come out at izpm as planned with no sound or call breach of contract and pull the plug.
I know I can’t go all over the world and neglect my own people so I’m taking matters into my own hands! I’m gathering the troops to work on building world class infrastructure in the Nigerian entertainment business.
Investors and stakeholders interested pls hit me up, we need to make some changes I apologise to my fans for how hectic it was, thank you for staying and weathering the storm with me.
I commend my band @fromtheoutsiders for making lemonade with the worst lemons we’ve ever seen!
Wonder X, KC Kennedy, Olisa Adibua and Creative Economy Catalyst (CEC) did an abysmal job of executing anything and my fans should never have had to go through that.
I’ll see you all again, on spaceship time! No one else’s.”
