Asake Wizkid released the official video to one of the hit tracks on his album, More Love; Less Ego, and fans have been bickering about it. It was revealed that the ace Afrobeats singer spent about $1 Million to shoot the music video. However, Asake springs after his hiatus to give his fans both new music and its video at the same time. Recall that Asake was recently spotted with singer, Burna Boy’s ex, Stefflon Don in a Ghana club. The YBNL singer’s album, ‘Mr. Money With The Vibes’ became the highest-charting debut Nigerian album of all time on Billboard in 2022.
This was confirmed in an update by music chart data on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter. The album was released in the later party of 2022. It made sure to accommodate the top 1- 10 songs on Apple music in its week of release.
This only adds to Asake’s already smooth record in the industry.

According to Daniel Regha, gracing the stage to perform a few days after lives have been lost at his last concert in Brixton will make him (Asake) insensitive.
Daniel Regha has advised Nigerian singer, Olamide to cancel the upcoming shows of Asake as a way to show respect for the lives that were lost recently following the stampede that happened at his show.
He wrote on his Twitter page;

“Asake shouldn’t be performing at shows or hosting concerts after the unfortunate tragedy that happened at Brixton Academy a few weeks ago; For crying out loud people died & the case is still ongoing. He has expressed sympathy but gracing the stage this soon is beyond !nsensitive.”

Another young woman who sustained injuries during the stampede at Asake’s concert has lost her life.
Recall that it was reported that a number of fans got injured following a stampede and commotion that happened during the concert of Asake in Brixton Academy, United Kingdom.
A female security guard identified as Gabriella Hutchinson was one of the victims of the stampede that happened at the concert. According to reports from Daily Mail, the young lady who was a contracted security personnel passed on earlier this afternoon.
Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove while reporting the incident said;
“It is devastating news that a second person has lost their life following the events on Thursday. I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to Gabrielle’s family at this unimaginably difficult time.”

The family of the single mother who died following the incident t Asake’s concert, Rebecca Ikumelo has finally broken their silence.

It would be recalled that some fans were stabbed while others suffered a stampede at the concert of Asake in London. Rebecca Ikumelo was one of the fans who got injured following the incident. However, she could not hold on as she passed on in the early hours of yesterday.
In a statement released by the family of Rebecca also a single mother of two, she was eulogized and described as an adorable mother who loved working with kids.

“Rebecca was a graduate of nursing. She was an adorable mother of two children who loved working with kids. ‘She was well respected in the family for her care, kindness, and love. Her parents call her Tosin (short for Oluwatosin) meaning “Lord is Worthy”

London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, has expressed hurt over the security breach at O2 Brixton  London that hosted a concert by Asake.

Asake was reportedly forced to end his sold-out performance at the O2 Academy Brixton, after a huge number of fans who did not have tickets attempted to force access to the venue.
According to a Police report, 8 people were transported to hospitals, while two more who suffered fewer injuries were attended to at the scene.
Asake, however, confirmed the death of a concertgoer, identified as Rebecca.
Expressing his sadness, Sadiq wrote:
“My heart is with those injured last night and caused any form of discomfort. I pray you get well soonest. Also, I am in the process of reaching out to individuals. I still don’t have the full brief from the venue or management themselves as to what led to the disruption at the entrance of the Brixton Academy.
I am heartbroken by the tragic death of Rebecca Ikumelo who has very sadly died following the awful events on Thursday night in Brixton.
My thoughts remain with everyone affected by this dreadful incident. It is vital that the investigation into what happened concludes as soon as possible. City Hall is in contact with venues and authorities across London to ensure nothing like this happens again.”

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has sympathized with those affected by the stampede which occurred outside a South London venue where Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Asake, was holding a concert.

Emergency services rushed to the venue following reports of crowd trouble at 9.35pm, and found “a number of people with injuries believed to have been caused by crushing”.
A total of eight people were taken to hospital from the O2 Academy Brixton by ambulance, the Metropolitan Police said, and two who were less seriously injured were treated at the scene.

Concertgoers have been left disappointed after Asake’s show organizers were forced to bring the show to an end due to a security breach.

Asake was supposed to perform last night in London. However, things did not quite go as planned as the show got ended abruptly.
The organizers had stepped forward to address the crowd and according to them, there has been a breach of security. They further explained that some people have broken down the door, and it has become a hasslee for security to take control and fish them out.
For this reason, the show had to be canceled. Concertgoers could be seen ‘booing” the organizers, as they tried to ascertain their ticket fees would be refunded.
