I was traumatised after escaping assassination attack – Actress Angela Okorie

Veteran movie star, Angela Okorie speaks on suffering intense Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD after she survived an assassination attempt on her life three years ago. She had been attacked by some unknown assailants in December 2019, and she had made it out with her life intact.

Speaking in a podcast hosted by Iyabo Ojo, she had alleged that the attempt on her life had possibly been sponsored by someone in the movie industry. She said: “I went through hell. We were actually coming from a show when we were attacked by gunmen. It was very traumatizing. For three good years, it was hard for me to have a relationship or do anything. “I had PTSD. And then I developed insomnia, shock disorder, and all that. I had to always move around with security. It’s so embarrassing because there are some places you want to go to that you don’t need security but because I was traumatized, I don’t know who was about to shoot me again. So I had to. “It was an assassination attack sponsored by someone in the movie industry. It’s from the industry because we were coming from a show.”

An unmarried Nigerian woman shares the touching narration of her facial discolouration condition allegedly from a spiritual attack at a burial ceremony. Franca Onyekaba from Otolo Nnewi in Anambra state narrates the story of her life to a content creator, identified as Jide Kaiji Media on TikTok.

According to Miss Franca, she was not born with the dark facial discolouration but the tragedy befell her at the burial event of her late sister. She revealed to have suspected someone touching her face at the ceremony but could not tell who and has since been battling with the condition. Miss Franca who is yet to find a suitor to date revealed that it used to be more severe than what was seen on her face at the time of her interview with the content creator. The video has since sparked emotional replies from netizens as many prayed for divine healing from her condition. Boko Haram suspects arrested following attack on Atiku’s residence The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar officially confirms an attack on his Yola residence suspected members of Boko Haram. The incident was initially brought to public attention by Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, who posted about it on his Twitter account on Monday 24th of July. Omokri expressed concern for the safety of the former Vice President and urged the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to thoroughly investigate the matter. However, in a statement released by his media office on Monday, Atiku confirmed that the police have apprehended four suspects linked to the plot to attack his residence. The statement reads: “We wish to alert the Nigerian public that at about 9:44 pm on Sunday, 23 July, 2023 a man seeking to confirm the residence of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar in Yola was apprehended at the gate of the residence. “The man who was apprehended by security operatives at the residence of Atiku Abubakar was later handed over to the police. “Upon further interrogation by the Police, the suspect identified himself as a 29 year-old Jubrila Mohammed and confessed to being a Boko Haram member from Damboa in Borno State. “The suspect also informed the Police that he and his colleagues, who were later arrested too, intended to attack organisations associated with Atiku Abubakar and some other sensitive locations in Yola. “All four suspects have been handed over to military authorities. We commend the police for the work that they continue to do in this particular investigation. “We further ask that other relevant security agencies remain on top of their brief.”

LASU debunks reports of attack on Bella Shmurda, Odumodublvck at Poco Lee’s party

Lagos State University (LASU) has debunked reports of cultists attacking singers Bella Shmurda and Odumodublvck at dancer Poco Lee’s homecoming party which took place on Thursday. Singer Bella Shmurda and rapper Odumodublvck turned up at the university to show support for Poco Lee who organised the concert.

Singer Odumosu Black The varsity’s spokesman Thomas-Onashile Oluwayemisi, in a statement on Friday, said reports of cultists attacking artistes who came to perform at the event were contrary to the true account of the event. “While we condemn in totality the unfortunate incidence, we have observed the twisted narrative that is beginning to be manufactured by malicious, and in, some cases, ignorant individuals which warrant that we provide the correct perspective,” Oluwayemisi said. “For the records, we wish to debunk claims of physical attacks on either the artists who came to perform or students by cultists being spread about. “We state unequivocally that at no point was Bella Shmurda or Poco Lee or any other artiste attacked. Bella himself has validated this on his social media channels.” Oluwayemisi said the uproar that greeted the event towards its tail end was caused by reactions of excited students having one of their own perform live on campus. The LASU spokesperson said the uproar had more to do with the issue of crowd control resulting from poor logistics and planning by the organisers, an independent entertainment outfit. Oluwayemisi said the organisers of the show had sold tickets online with instructions for the attendees to obtain their tickets physically at the venue of the show. “Indeed, the event ended with no single record of cult attacks as being purported,” the spokesperson said.

Nigerian Police Force parade one of the suspects involved in the deadly attack on Apostle Suleman’s convoy which left multiple dead in October, 2022. The Force paraded the 34-year-old man identified as Yusuf Isah, on Thursday alongside 19 other culprits following a failed assassination attempt on the apostle the previous year.

NigezieXtreme recalls that on the 21st of October 2022, the gunmen had ambushed the cleric around the Auchi area of Edo State, which had left 7 dead. CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi who spoke to the press while parading the suspect disclosed that Isah had been the first to have opened fire on the clergyman’s convoy. He said; “Operatives of the FIB on the trail of the assailants apprehended this suspect, Yusuf Isah, a native of Okene, Kogi State, at Agabara Oluwatobi Phase 2, A plumber, and recovered five AK-47, 2 K2 Assault rifles, 180 Live Ammunition, and four suspected IEDs found in his apartment.

Man almost lands in jail as sex worker suffers asthma attack in his house

A lawyer narrates the tale of his client who almost landed in jail after patronizing the services of a sex worker who developed an asthma attack. A legal practitioner on Twitter identified as @Bolanlecole took to the platform to share the narration of a client of his who almost regretted a one-night stand.

Lucky for him, there was an inhaler at his reach and was able to revive the sex worker. “My Lagos client who patronises Olosho got served yesternight when he took a lady to his house for fornication only for the lady to develop asthma and could not breathe well middle of the night💔 thank God there was an inhaler to stabilise her. He immediately took the lady back to where he picked her from,” the legal practitioner wrote.

Landlord triggers outrage after releasing dog to attack tenant over N45,000

A viral video of a landlord releasing his dog to attack a tenant over money he was owed has led to outrage online. Before releasing the dog, the yet-to-be-identified landlord was seen having an argument with the tenant who “politely” asked why he was refused entry into the compound for over two hours.

Eyewitnesses said the landlord claimed that the tenant is owing him N45,000 and further threatened to unleash his dog on him despite not being rude. The tenant who revealed that he’s been bitten before by the landlord’s pet, dared him to carry out his threat and he did.

It took the intervention of other neighbors to quell the situation and also ensure the dog was returned to its cage. It was also alleged that the landlord is notorious in the area for being ruthless. Watch a video from the scene below…

Man who nearly died of heart attack at side chick’s house lands in hospital where wife works

A man reportedly suffered a severe heart attack while at the home of his side chick and was rushed to the hospital where his wife works. The account was shared by an American woman known simply as Linda.

According to Linda, her husband had suffered the attack after he had acid reflux and had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. She revealed that she had come across his name when it popped up and she read his report. However, two days later after discharge, he went home and lied to his wife that he had been attacked by some robbers. Linda’s narration read: “My husband almost died inside his side chick’s house in Maryland. He had acid reflux, and he was rushed to the hospital. He came home after 2 days to lie to me that robbers attacked him. He didn’t know they took him to the hospital where I work. His name popped up, and I read the report attached to his case file. The idiot put his side chick as his wife and emergency contact. When I got home, I asked him if the robber had given him acid reflux. He almost entered the ground.”

Suspected yahoo boys attack cleric for ‘ripping’ their colleague of N500k (Video)

Some suspected yahoo boys have been spotted in a viral video attacking an Islamic cleric popularly known as “alfa” for allegedly “defrauding” their colleague of N500k. One of the suspected yahoo boys had approached the Islamic cleric for a soap which he hoped would in his daily business of defrauding people. He reportedly paid N500k for the soap.

Weeks after use, he discovered that the soap wasn’t potent and giving the result he wanted in his fraud business. The Islamic cleric was lured back after the suspected yahoo boy told him that his friends wanted the soap.

He was seen in the viral video attacking the Islamic cleric with his friends while shouting “ole” (thief). They also threatened to make him eat his soap. It is however unclear if they got a refund afterward. Watch the video below…
