Bear storms luxury hotel, attacks security guard

A shocking incident unfolded at the renowned St. Regis Aspen Resort in Aspen, Colorado, on the night of October 23 when a bear ventured into the luxury hotel’s premises and attacked a security guard. This unexpected encounter, captured on security footage, left the security guard injured and the bear ultimately euthanized. The on-duty security guard was alerted to reports of a bear inside the hotel and bravely decided to investigate the situation.

According to a statement released by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), upon entering the hotel’s kitchen, the security guard came face to face with the intruding bear. The security camera footage shows the bear casually roaming around the kitchen, followed by the guard who cautiously approaches. However, the situation quickly escalated when the bear swiped at the guard, knocking him to the ground, and then made a hasty retreat. In the immediate aftermath of the attack, the security guard managed to call 911, and he was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of the scratches he sustained on his back. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he was released from the hospital after receiving medical care. Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers were alerted to the situation at 11 p.m. on the night of the attack, and they launched a search operation for the bear. It took until the early hours of Wednesday, October 25 for wildlife officers to successfully locate and apprehend the bear. According to CPW, the officers found the bear near Conner Park and employed non-lethal tactics to haze the animal into a tree within the park. Following this, a tranquilizer gun was used to immobilize the bear, and it was safely removed from the tree using an Aspen Fire ladder truck. Regrettably, per CPW policy, the bear was humanely euthanized, marking a somber end to this extraordinary series of events. Investigation into the incident revealed that the bear had gained access to the hotel through a series of doors near the hotel’s courtyard. In the midst of the search for the bear involved in the attack, CPW officers observed the presence of eight other bears moving about downtown Aspen. See below;

A 26-year-old Nigerian man, who claims to have given up on love and marriage, has caused a stir on social media after making a unique appeal for a woman willing to carry and bear his child. The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, turned to Twitter to express his desire, offering a substantial sum of N10 million as compensation for the woman’s participation. The appeal was shared on Twitter by user @Wizarab10, who acted as a mediator on behalf of the man. According to the tweet, the potential candidate would receive N10 million before the commencement of the arrangement, with an additional N10 million to be paid after the successful delivery of the child. Describing himself as 100% successful and financially stable, the man claimed to have been in only one serious relationship in his life, which ended poorly and subsequently dampened his interest in settling down. Seeking an unconventional approach to fatherhood, he specified that the chosen woman should be under the age of 35 and understand that she would have no claim to the child or any involvement after the completion of her “job.” Furthermore, the man requested that the selected woman raise and care for the child during the crucial early months. The remaining balance of N10 million would be paid upon the completion of this initial period of child-rearing. The tweet quickly garnered attention and sparked a mix of reactions among Twitter users. See below; He has given up on love and marriage and wants a woman to carry a child for him. Naira Notes Scarcity: "I urge Nigerians to bear with the CBN" — Peter Obi In his words; “The currency redesign is not peculiar to Nigeria. It is an exercise that comes with some inconvenience and pain but it has significant long-term economic and social benefits. Even though there are improvements that can be made. I urge Nigerians to bear with the CBN and Federal Government with the hope that the general populace and Nigeria will harvest the gains that will come with the reforms. We equally implore the CBN and the banks to expedite efforts to make the new currency available to small depositors and the unbanked in order to reduce the pains of my fellow Nigerians, especially the underprivileged and those living far away from banks in the rural areas – PO.” The currency redesign is not peculiar to Nigeria. “Finding out I couldn’t have children didn’t make me feel ashamed. I felt inadequate. I felt inadequate as a woman but not ashamed, which was because of how I was brought up.
