A Nigerian lady has revealed the intensifying competition between African billionaires Abdul Samad Rabiu and Aliko Dangote with Rabiu initiating the construction of his refinery shortly after Dangote’s recent inauguration. The two tycoons have been making headlines for their respective contributions to the oil refinery sector in Nigeria, with a focus on boosting domestic production and supporting the continent’s energy needs. The Nigerian lady @gviev took to Twitter to express her observations on the ongoing rivalry between Rabiu and Dangote, acknowledging that the BUA founder has been closely following in the footsteps of the chairman and founder of Dangote Group. The recent inauguration of Dangote’s massive refinery in Lagos has evidently fueled Rabiu’s ambitions, leading to the initiation of the construction of his own refinery in Akwa Ibom state. The lady highlighted that BUA is actively constructing a 200,000 barrels per day (pd) Oil Refinery in Akwa Ibom State, with the goal of producing petroleum products not only for Nigeria but for the broader African market. According to her, the BUA Refinery is anticipated to commence production in 2024. In her words; “Nawa. BUA / its owner Abdul Rabiu just dey track dey follow Dangote/ Aliko Dangote back to back… in every area of his endeavor. Now BUA is building a 200,000 pd Oil Refinery on Akwa Ibom State… to produce Petroleum products for Nigeria and Africa. I understand the BUA Refinery is going live for production in 2024. Lady commences a Smile-A-Thon during which she would smile non-stop for 72 hours to break a record, despite Guinness World Record plea to end the attempts. You may recall that the record body had released a PSA calling on people to go easy on the record breaking attempts after being overwhelmed with many applications.

It is the season of breaking records for Nigerians as a man begins a 200-hour sing-a-thon (8 days) to set a Guinness World Record. The man is set to sing for 200 hours nonstop while in full view of the world as the clock ticks away to mark his time.

As at the time of reporting, the clock shows that the man has sang for two days and 20 hours and still has approximately 7 days to complete his challenge. Renowned Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe Damijo, popularly known as RMD, marks his 62nd birthday in style as he begins rolling out 62 promised photos. It would be recalled that the actor had promised to celebrate his birthday with 62 photoshoots while emphasizing the inclusion of plenty red coloured outfits.

On this special occasion, the actor chose to commemorate it with a deep sense of surrender to God and His divine plan. Amongst others, RMD shared a photograph dressed in white attire, creating a contrasting dark-themed image. Alongside the photo, he conveyed a heartfelt message expressing his profound appreciation and willingness to serve as a vessel for God’s purposes. “THIS IS 62! Overwhelmed! A Nigerian lady begins attempt to stay live on Instagram for 125 hours (5 days) in order to set a Guinness World Record. The 23-year-old lady identified as Big Tresh revealed that she intends to be online on the photo-sharing app for five days without break from live streaming herself performing different activities.

Adeoye Adeyolu Blessing, a chef from Ondo state, has kick-started her mission to break the world record for the longest cooking marathon, currently held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci. However, the news has sparked reactions, with many netizens condemning the Ondo State chef for attempting to unseat Baci so soon after she broke the record in March 2023. The Ondo State chef’s 150-hour Cook-a-thon has began in the state and Nigerians have been streaming her live video session to see how far she can go. Despite the controversy trailing her mission, the Ondo State chef remains determined to break the record, as she claims to have been preparing intensely for the cook-a-thon. Following the confirmation of Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci as the Guinness World Record holder for her cook-a-thon, another chef from Kenya, Maliha Mohammed, has embarked on a similar challenge. Maliha took to her Instagram page on Friday, June 16, to announce the commencement of her cooking marathon, which will continue until Sunday, June 18.

Kenyan Chef, Mahila Mohammed stirs reactions as she begins Cook-a-thon Having previously cooked for 72 hours in 2018, the 40-year-old Kenyan chef expressed her desire to break two Guinness World Records, including the one held by Hilda Baci. Maliha shared that she has already secured a sponsor for the event and encouraged people to support her by tuning into her live stream on Instagram.
