The university has been accused of negligence and withholding vital information from the deceased student’s parents since Thursday, the day he passed away.

They further alleged that the university attempted to cover up the incident and neglected their duty to communicate the tragic news in a timely manner. The concerned family expressed their frustration over the lack of transparency and demanded an explanation from Abuad University regarding the circumstances surrounding Ayominde Oluwagbowunmi Oduntan’s death. They sought clarity on the cause of death and expressed disappointment that the university had postponed the postmortem examination multiple times, causing further distress to the grieving family. In an update received by our news team shared by @honourmeh1, the autopsy report has revealed inflammation infection as the cause of death.

A Nigerian barber has cried out for justice over being allegedly extorted by some police officers at Second Rainbow area of Lagos state. The barber said his sad encounter with the police officers ensued after booking a ride from a ride-sharing app.

He said the police officers accused him of fraud and threatened to take him to an EFCC office if he doesn’t give them N2m. The barber further revealed the police officers subsequently extorted him of N100k after taking him to a Point-of-Sale unit. He tweeted; “In my life I have never been this scared, Nigeria is so scared, I was abused today by the Nigerian police men? They were 4 men plus the driver, was coming back from the federal registry at ikoyi, this men stop my Uber drive and asked him to open his boot, he did. “The police men found nothing the other one asked me to come down and meet their boss, I did and the boss asked me to enter inside the car they’re using to patrol they carried me and say they want to report me to the EFCC, I’m a barber by profession, I have my certificate. “I’m innocent, this men pressed me to the extent I couldn’t breathe and I was begging them so I can take air they refused, they said I’m using an iPhone 14 pro max I’m into fraud, i swear on my life I have never done anything like that in my life!

Nollywood actress Lilian Afegbai calls out comedian and actress Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Warri Pikin, regarding the issue of her upcoming wedding’s aso ebi (traditional attire). It would be recalled Warri Pikin’s husband re-engaged her with a diamond ring after which she had a bridal shower and unveiled the date of her wedding.

Taking to her Instagram page, she shared a video recounting how Anita publicly called her out for not purchasing the aso ebi. According to Lilian Afegbai, Anita informed her about the event and sent her a message to purchase the traditional attire. However, she couldn’t afford it and didn’t make the payment for several months.

Furthermore, Lilian revealed that Warri Pikin had tagged her in a video, trying to address the situation, but she chose to ignore it. Anita, however, brought up the issue again, which left Lilian feeling hurt and pressured. Lilian expressed her dismay, emphasizing that Warri Pikin knew she was not in a relationship and yet still insisted on taking the little money she had managed to save. In her words; “Anita don marry Ikechukwu since; me now, I never see successful boyfriend not to talk of marriage. Anita send me message put aso ebi figure. All I have now I am managing it; you, you have two marriages. Wetin you really want from me? You cannot marry once, marry twice and you’re still taking my own things.
