The leader of Biafra Nations League, BnL, Princewill Chimezie Richards has accused Niger Delta leader, Asari Dokubo of plans to snatch a pipeline contract awarded to Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo. Chimezie who claimed that Asari’s main mission to Aso Villa was to beg for a contract, also accused Asari of playing double standards, adding that “he speaks from both sides of his mouth.”

Source: Twitter Recall that the ex-Niger Delta militant leader visited President Bola Tinubu on Friday where he accused some cabals in the military of being responsible for oil theft in the region. He also warned President Tinubu against releasing the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, stating that releasing him is rewarding criminality and gruesome murder of innocent people. While addressing Newsmen after his meeting with Tinubu, Asari said, “Releasing Nnamdi Kanu is rewarding criminality and rewarding gruesome murder of innocent people, he should face the law for the actions and instigations he has carried out. “On security, I want to clearly say that there are full-scale wars going on in different parts of this country. In the South East, the IPOB/ESN is waging a full-scale war against the government of this country and many local governments, many communities are deserted, schools are closed, and hospitals are closed.” However, Princewill, whose group operates mainly around the Gulf of Guinea, in a statement, on Saturday said Asari never stands for anything. He said, “I know him, he never stands on anything, was it not a few days ago he was shouting that Senate President should go to the South East as if it’s of any importance to the people of the region? Now he has changed mouth that the South East got what they deserved. “His main mission to Aso Villa is to beg for a contract, and very soon Tompolo’s contract will be terminated. Let’s see if he is Tinubu’s godfather.”
Portuguese footballer, Diogo Dalot has signed a new contract with Manchester United which will run till the summer of 2028, with the club retaining the option of adding another year. 24-year-old Dalot arrived at Old Trafford in 2018 and has since made a total of 107 appearances in all competitions.

The 32-year-old Spaniard who joined Manchester United from Atletico Madrid in 2011, during Sir Alex Ferguson’s time in charge at the club, agreed to a £375,000-a-week salary in September 2019, making him the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world. With his contract expected to expire in a few months, The Athletic reported that the club’s opening proposal for a contract extension has been dismissed by De Gea. 
While De Gea wants to stay at Old Trafford, he also feels his performances justify him being one of the best-paid players in the squad. It is expected they will continue to negotiate in the hope of reaching a positive conclusion. De Gea has so far made 529 appearances for the Red Devils. He has won four Players’ Player of the Year awards during that time and lifted the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and Europa League. 
Daily Mail reported that the Ivory Coast international who is nearing the end of his contract at Selhurst Park and who would be available on a free transfer in the summer, is said to have been offered a contract worth a staggering £9million a year offer. Palace, however, are eager to keep Zaha in South London and have offered him the “most lucrative” deal in the club’s history to retain his services. It’s claimed The Eagles brass have tabled a deal in the region of £200,000-a-week contract to the winger. 
It’s unknown if Zaha has rejected the offer on the table, although it’s understood he’s currently focused on helping Palace end the season strongly. Zaha is a top talent on his day and has had a fine career in the Premier League, though he notably struggled in a spell at Manchester United as a youngster. 
Insiders told ESPN that Garnacho opened talks over a contract extension late last year, and has now reached an agreement for a 5-year deal with the English club. All that remains to be finalized before the terms can be made official are some aspects relating to Garnacho’s image rights. The new deal will see his salary adjusted according to his new status in Erik ten Hag’s squad due to the progress he has made since making his first team debut last April. He is currently thought to be earning around £7,000 per week, so the starting point of his new salary will be a healthy increase to reflect his rise from the youth ranks to a first-team regular since his debut last April. 
Garnacho has since made 27 appearances for United, scoring three goals, and has been one of the revelations of the Premier League season so far. Given his roots, and Real Madrid’s history of luring wingers away from Old Trafford, there were concerns an early switch to the Bernabeu may have been on the cards next year. Los Blancos have been reportedly monitoring his progress and would no doubt be interested in taking him back to the Spanish capital if he fulfils his world-class potential. Garnacho left Atletico Madrid’s academy for United in 2020 and has gone from strength to strength since, skyrocketing up the senior pecking order. 
The 38-year-old defender who has become a key player in the team since arriving at Stamford Bridge in 2020, has shown himself to be evergreen and has arguably been the Blues’ most consistent performer throughout the tenures of both Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter. Speaking to Chelsea’s website after signing the new contract, Silva said; 
“I am honestly so happy to continue my career with the Blues. “When I signed my first contract here, it was to just do one year. Now it is already the fourth! I could not have imagined that, but really it is a very special moment for me to sign and stay at Chelsea.” 
Mexican football club, Pumas, has terminated its contract with Dani Alves after he was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on Friday, January 20. 
It was reported earlier that the former Barcelona full-back and veteran Brazil international was accused of allegedly putting his hands inside the underwear of a woman without her consent while she was dancing with friends and then following her into a toilet. She is said to have informed security staff in the club, who activated Barcelona city council’s protocol against assaults and sexual harassment. 39-year-old Alves appeared before a judge yesterday, who ordered that he be held in custody without bail. 
Though he has denied the allegation against him, Liga MX side Pumas has reacted to the allegation by terminating his contract which was set to expire in July 2023. This was announced by the club chairman Leopoldo Silva in a brief statement to the press on Friday evening.
