Famous Nigerian actress and singer, Shaffy Bello weighs in on the controversies trailing the topic of what a partner brings to the table. On a recent episode of ‘Me, Her and Everything Else’ podcast, the veteran thespian argued that men have a valid reason to ask a woman what she brings to the table.
Veteran actress, Shaffy Bello While putting herself in the shoes of a man, Shaffy Bello affirmatively stated that she does not see herself marrying a woman who is a liability. She further added that being a responsible and hardworking woman is in fact an attractive quality other than being constantly needy and entitled. “I would tell the ladies, never tell a man, ‘Why are you asking me what do I bring to the table?’ I’m sorry, I’m not one of those; I think we both should ask ourselves, ‘What are we bringing to the table.’ If he’s bringing something to the table, you should bring something to the table. I don’t want to marry a liability if I was a man. As a matter of fact, you look more attractive that way. You can’t just be needy, that’s not attractive,” she added. Speaking in an interview with Sunday Scoop, the actress said she deliberately engages in controversies on social media to gain popularity. Esther Nwachukwu said; “I am not a prostitute. I just decided to become controversial because I wanted to trend. I have been to so many auditions, but in the end, if one does not have money to produce one’s own movie or pay directors to give one a lead role, one would keep being a ‘handbag’ (being relegated). That is now what I want. I have auditioned for Big Brother Nigeria more than six times. I even got to the final stage but they did not pick me. “I have also been in Nollywood with nothing to show for it. It is either the director wants to sleep with one in exchange for a role, or one had to pay money, which I considered to be nonsense. That was why I decided to become controversial.” The actress who had in the past disclosed that she prefers dating married men, explained why she made the decision. 
Moukoko was born in Yaounde, Cameroon, before moving to Germany in 2014 where he was adopted. The footballer who joined Dortmund in 2016, has gone about breaking all sorts of records for the Bundesliga giants already. He became the youngest player to reach a number of achievements, from playing in the UEFA Youth League at 14 to becoming the youngest Bundesliga goalscorer in history, just two years later. The player who has attracted interest from big clubs around the world, also has a cult following on Football Manager. However, in the last few days, there’s been an age fraud controversy arising in Cameroon. The country’s under-17 side was preparing to play Central Africa in qualifying games for the Nations Cup this month when it was discovered that 21 of the 30-strong squad failed age tests. 
New players were quickly drafted in by coach Jean Pierre Fiala but, in a further humiliation, it was discovered that 11 of the additions were also over-age. Following the controversy, Austrian publication Laoloa 1, has reported that the teenager’s birth certificate might be wrong and he may be 22-years-old. The publication claims that Moukoko’s adoptive father had sent the alleged unearthed birth certificate to a journalist. In Germany, it’s been alleged that a birth certificate dated 2000 with the name Yousouffa Mohamadou and attributed to Dortmund striker Moukoko, was discovered in 2022. It is not the first time that he has faced questions regarding his age, his coaches at Dortmund couldn’t agree how old he was back in 2017, though the German FA denied any wrongdoing. 
At the time, the German FA released a statement that read; “The DFB has already had a number of intensive discussions with Borussia Dortmund at various levels. “At the DFB’s request for careful consideration of the facts, those responsible at Borussia Dortmund always point to the authenticity of the papers and documents, which are also known by DFB. “There is therefore no doubt about the correctness of the age of the player. In this matter, the DFB relies on the details of the home club of the player.”
