Popular actor Yul Edochie’s estranged first wife, May Edochie pens an emotional note to herself as she reflects on the adversities she suffered in 2023. No doubt the controversies surrounding the Edochie family are well known among curious netizens who have been following the series of dramas that started when the movie star took a second wife, Judy Austin.

As the earth completes a full circle around the sun, May Edochie took to Instagram to reflect on the previous year’s misfortunes. She noted that the year had dealt her its worst cards. May recalled that it had taken away her first son, leaving her totally devastated. Her words read … “Dear 2023, you were pregnant on the very first day of Jan unknown to anyone what you would deliver. You dealt with me in the most catastrophic ways…. Too many adversities | misfortunes and the worst of it you stole my own flesh and blood leaving me in the most devastating, miserable and confused state that I could never have imagined. I lost all hopes and nearly gave up, I had too many questions eating me all up but I kept hearing that voice echoing, “who am I to question God”?
I struggled so hard and stood on God’s words commanding us to give Him praise in every situation despite how difficult it is. Truly, I appreciate all the good people you made me cross paths with (my family, friends, strangers turned friends and my online fam). I cannot begin to list names cos it is endless but I want y’all to know that I will forever remain thankful for the incredible level of love and support showered upon me and my family in our most difficult times. I’m grateful to God Almighty for being God in my life, in other words I’m so glad that man is not God. 2023, it is with all that is within me, I say goodbye to you forever as I embrace the new year 2024 singing my song with a life of thanksgiving, a life of forgiveness and life of commitment to God. The defeat deals a potential blow to his former club’s title aspirations. Mavropanos who joined West Ham last summer after a stint with Arsenal, made a huge impact in the game, ensuring West Ham sealed all three points. If Arsenal had won the match, they would have moved to the top of the Premier League table, a position currently held by Liverpool. A young man narrates the approach he took to curtail his new neighbours who are in the habit of disturbing the vicinity with their loud music. A Twitter user identified as @XivTroy took to the platform to narrate how he tried effortlessly to caution his new noisy neighbours.

His phone, however, rang off the hook from the same neighbours who clearly couldn’t take the same treatment. In his words; “I got new neighbors. Very noisy girls. I unsuccessfully asked them to lower their music severally. Unsuccessfully informed caretaker. So today, I’d had enough. I put on Spotify, tweaked the Sony system to 100, & left. My phone is ringing like nonsense. Unsuccessfully. Lessons will be learned. For a guy who gets home latest 7:30 pm, today I’ll get home at 10:00 pm. If nothing changes, we try again tomorrow, and the next day. And so forth. I wonder why they are calling when the volume is still at 50% on the computer. Tomorrow, we tweak it up by 10%. Just got home & switched off the music: it’s so quiet I can hear the sausages I had digest in my tummy. I’d even forgotten we had crickets chirping at night. Now we wait for tomorrow: Lessons will be learned Episode 2.”

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, has narrated how he intentionally dealt with a lady who denied knowing who he was. The ‘unavailable’ crooner shared the story during a recent interview with BigboyTv.

Davido said his fans sent over 50,000 messages to the lady, abused her and also told her to put some respect on him. He added that the lady had reached out to him after the experience. Young lady narrates how she dealt with a plantain vendor who tried to exploit the naira scarcity by charging double on bank transfers.

A Facebook user identified as Amy George narrated how a plantain vendor in her area tried to exploit the Naira scarcity. The seller reportedly insisted on charging N2K for the price of N1K plantain from customers who can’t afford new naira notes. In a lengthy note, Amy wrote in part; “There’s a lady around the street we buy plantain from. She sells 4 for 500naira. My girl went to her shop last week to buy plantain, she refused accepting transfer and was insisting on new currency. My girl said she chatted with her and they joked around the whole no cash payment. The lady told her the only thing she accepts is payment with her pos and it comes with 1000naira charges.
That is; If you buy 1k plantain, you will pay 2k through her pos. Or maybe 1,500 with plenty ‘abeg’
I told my girl to enter market mbok, find other sellers that would accept transfer and buy things. We got a bunch of plantain for 3,500 at the market. This morning as I was leaving, I saw bunches of overripe plantain and some rotten ones at the lady’s shop. I don’t know what carried me to her shop o, I packed in front and was jokingly telling her about her new policy. Madam was showing a pity face. How market is slow because people don’t have cash to buy again … “

A lady identified as Tolani on Twitter has narrated her experience with her ex boyfriend after he slapped her.
Tolani in a series of tweets, revealed how she immediately wiped him with an old palm slippers and ran away.

She tweeted,
“One time an ex slapped me over a trivial issue,was about to leave then I saw him standing outside & I knew I couldn’t let it slide. I found an old palm slippers in the passage & wiped him hard at the back of his neck then ran. Didn’t look back till I got home. That was the end!

I ran o. He followed me but my grams chased him. I have never ran that much in my life till date.”
