Describing her introduction to truck driving, the young woman who began driving at 19 mentioned that her parents urged her to learn a trade after she completed her secondary school education. They suggested tailoring or hairdressing, but she lacked any interest in those fields. During that time, she was staying with her aunt in Lagos State, whose husband worked as a truck driver.

While managing the trucks for her uncle, she developed a fascination for driving them, which marked the beginning of her journey towards becoming a truck driver. Speaking on how she is inexperienced at driving a four-wheeler vehicle, she said; “People find it funny that I can drive an articulated vehicle which has 22 tyres but I can drive a car which has four tyres.” Speaking on the challenges of being a truck driver, Omolade emphasized that she is never bothered in any way particularly because she is passionate about the occupation. “There is so much challenges in it but me, I do see all those things as challenges all because it is what I have passion for,” she said. A truck driver identified as Mr Ejiro Otarigho, has been hailed a hero after he risked his life to drive a burning truck out of a residential area in Agbarho town, Ughelli North LG, Delta state.
It is understandable that the man’s bravery apparently averted what would have destroyed sources of lives and properties in Agbarho town.

Sharing the heroic story on Facebook, the senior special assistant to the Delta State government, Agba Abraham confirmed that the driver is hail and healthy amid swimming in the inferno.
Agba Abraham wrote: “This truck driver Mr Ejiro Otarigho deserve a National Honours for averting National disaster that would have destroyed sources of lives and properties in Agbarho Town, Ughelli North LGA. See how the driver risk his life to divert the truck from town to safe environment. I urge revelant Authority both National and State to act. I have spoken to Mr Ejiro, he is safe and healthy. 
“I just spoke with the Heroic driver Mr Ejiro Otarigho, he is Hail and healthy. Let’s continue to share this post until relevant Agency act.”

Nigerian actor and writer, Williams Uchemba, has been ordered to an online driving school in the United Kingdom after he was caught overspeeding.

Lamenting the aftermath of his offense which accasioned hours of online driving lessons, the actor shared a video of himself with the caption:
“The other day, I did 36MPH on a 30MPH road and speed camera caught it. Now, UK Government said I don’t know how to drive, that I have to go back to online driving school. I have been sitting here since morning.”
One of his followers who reacted to the video, asked the actor to be grateful he wasn’t fined alongside the driving lessons.
Another wrote: “He’s lucky. In Germany dem go fine am join and dey will reduce 2 points from his licence, next tym na to revoke him licence for 2 years…. policies like dis is the reason why you don’t have to pray, bind and cast b4 travelling to cancel accident. But in 9ja, trailer driver go drink 10 bottles b4 entering the wheel…. how pple nor go dey die on the road everyday??”
