In a recent interview, Michael revealed how much he hated his father while in a discussion with the media personality, Chude Jideonwo. He further released a leaked audio where his father emphasized how his son is one of his biggest issues while urging him to commit suicide by jumping in front of a moving truck. Emeka Ike further alleged in the leaked audio that his son is being used against him as a blackmail tool while vowing to get his wife, Susan Emma.

A 22-year-old female truck driver, Ademola Omolade reveals that despite being a driver of a 22-tire vehicle, she is unable to drive a car. The truck driver who is a resident of Ogbomosho, Oyo State, and originally from Osun State has since become an internet sensation with her driving skills.

Describing her introduction to truck driving, the young woman who began driving at 19 mentioned that her parents urged her to learn a trade after she completed her secondary school education. They suggested tailoring or hairdressing, but she lacked any interest in those fields. During that time, she was staying with her aunt in Lagos State, whose husband worked as a truck driver.

While managing the trucks for her uncle, she developed a fascination for driving them, which marked the beginning of her journey towards becoming a truck driver. Speaking on how she is inexperienced at driving a four-wheeler vehicle, she said; “People find it funny that I can drive an articulated vehicle which has 22 tyres but I can drive a car which has four tyres.” Speaking on the challenges of being a truck driver, Omolade emphasized that she is never bothered in any way particularly because she is passionate about the occupation. “There is so much challenges in it but me, I do see all those things as challenges all because it is what I have passion for,” she said. Two people have been confirmed dead after a truck that suffered a brake failure rammed into four tricycles in the Ikotun area of Lagos state.

The incident was said to have happened on Monday, January 31st. According to reports, the fully-loaded truck with registration number JJJ 125 rammed into the four tricycles. Their registration numbers, LSD 83 QM, AKD 690 QK, NEK 657 YU and AKL 87 QF by a valley around Synagogue Church, heading towards Ikotun. The driver of one of the tricycles with one passenger died instantly. Four other victims, including a pregnant woman and two children, were rescued. Confirming the incident, Adebayo Taofiq, Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, LASEMA, said; “Operatives of LASTMA, today rescued another four fatal accident victims inside mini commercial buses (tricycles) around Ikotun area of Lagos. A preliminary investigation revealed that the fully loaded container truck had a brake failure and crushed three tricycles by a valley around synagogue when going towards Ikotun. LASEMA immediately moved the tanker with those crushed tricycles to Ikotun Police Station.”  Meanwhile, the General Manager of LASTMA, Mr Bolaji Oreagba, has warned tanker owners and drivers to always ensure that their trucks are properly checked and in good condition before embarking on any journey. Other emergency responders at the accident scene include the Nigerian Police officers from Ikotun Police Station. The operatives immediately handed over the rescued victims to Policemen from Ikotun Police Station, who took them to a general hospital for treatment.

A truck driver identified as Mr Ejiro Otarigho, has been hailed a hero after he risked his life to drive a burning truck out of a residential area in Agbarho town, Ughelli North LG, Delta state.
It is understandable that the man’s bravery apparently averted what would have destroyed sources of lives and properties in Agbarho town.

Sharing the heroic story on Facebook, the senior special assistant to the Delta State government, Agba Abraham confirmed that the driver is hail and healthy amid swimming in the inferno.
Agba Abraham wrote: “This truck driver Mr Ejiro Otarigho deserve a National Honours for averting National disaster that would have destroyed sources of lives and properties in Agbarho Town, Ughelli North LGA. See how the driver risk his life to divert the truck from town to safe environment. I urge revelant Authority both National and State to act. I have spoken to Mr Ejiro, he is safe and healthy. 
“I just spoke with the Heroic driver Mr Ejiro Otarigho, he is Hail and healthy. Let’s continue to share this post until relevant Agency act.”
