Popular prophetess, Ijeoma Ezenekwe says it is an error for women to love their husband but instead to honor and submit. She averred this while speaking to her congregants as she explained that it is not the duty of the woman to love her husband, as that is not what the Bible instructs.

Meat seller slumps, dies on duty in Lagos

A male meat seller has slumped and died while attending to a customer on Branco Street, in the Mafoluku area of Lagos. According to Punch, the incident happened on Monday, 24th of April, 2023, when the deceased was attending to a customer in the community.

An eyewitness, identified as Tunde said the deceased had finished selling the meat and was waiting for payment when he suddenly slumped. He said: “The man is a regular meat hawker in this area and he was hawking along the street as usual when a woman called him to sell meat for her. When he got to the woman’s place, he brought down his meat and negotiation went on for a while. He later sold the meat to her when they both reached an agreement. It was at the point when the woman was about to pay him that he suddenly fell to the ground. That was how the woman quickly raised the alarm.” “Later, some people tried to resuscitate him but all to no avail. His body was lying on the floor for close to 30 minutes. It was later that some of the residents hired a commercial bus to convey his body to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead,” The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident. “The man slumped and died. He probably had an underlining health issue. There was no foul play. The corpse has been deposited in the mortuary,” the PPRO said.

Nurse slumps and dies on duty in Zamfara

Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura, a nurse at the Specialist Hospital in Zamfara State, is said to have slumped and died while on duty. According to the hospital’s spokesman, Auwal Usman, who confirmed the incident, Bakura appeared very healthy when he arrived at the hospital but was subsequently declared dead after taking the blood pressure of roughly 30 patients. Usman added that she went to the doctor with a cardiac complaint, but she passed away shortly after. Before the doctors could perform CPR, it was already too late. “The medical doctors tried all they could to save her life but they couldn’t as she died instantly,” he said. Usman claims that the hospital’s administration, under the direction of Medical Director Dr. Usman Shanawa, has given the deceased’s body to the deceased person’s family members. A security man screams for help after being caught by his boss while sleeping on duty.

A video making the rounds on social media captured the moment a security officer was caught off guard while having a deep sleep.
The officer who seemed to be having a peaceful sleep cried out for help when nudged by his boss.
The shock of waking up to a flashlight in his face gave him the instinct that he was being attacked by a robber, hence , the loud scream of help while raising up his arms.
The disappointed boss, however, watched him while it took a minute for him to get a hold of himself.

IGP to punish viral police officer for smoking weed on duty

The Nigeria Police Force has commenced disciplinary action against one of its officers who was allegedly captured consuming an illicit drug while on duty.

The embattled officer’s photo showing the moment he was smoking Cannabis (weed) while sitting on a chair in the Ijora area of Lagos state, went viral on Friday, April 8.
In reaction to the photo, the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi condemned the act, noting that he has contacted the Lagos Police Command to fish out the officer, name and shame him.

Adding that the officer will face disciplinary action from the office of the Inspector-General of Police, Adejobi, via his Twitter handle wrote:
“The police have commenced necessary action on this ugly scene. We have contacted Lagos Command to fish him out, name and shame him, and necessary disciplinary action will be taken from the office of the IGP with immediate effect.

“This is condemned in its totality as such is unpolice. It’s quite unfortunate that we can see an officer of the police, on uniform, degenerates to this level. We must kick again this to serve as a deterrent to others. Thanks. MUYIWA Adejobi.”

Some days ago, a customer who was impressed by the dance of the security officers at a popular restaurant shared the video on social media on how heartwarming their dance was.
Unfortunately, both dancers have been fired for being unprofessional at their duty posts.

“Whoever posted that video is a fool… now that you’ve gotten them sacked for a few likes and RTs I hope you can sleep well at night. A fucken idiot,” a concerned social media user wrote.
