Using Cardi B as an example, she recalled how the American rapper went on Instagram live recently while lamenting in severe pain as she got cheated on again. She claimed a lot of women might be wondering why Cardi B who is successful, funny and has a nice body would be getting cheated on. Entrepreneur and real estate agent, Elsie Okpocha. According to her, 80% of the time a man cheats, it has nothing to do with the woman. She said a woman can be beautiful, intelligent, sexy, know how to cook his favorite dishes and he will still cheat. Elsie Okpocha advised women to stop feeling bad and blaming themselves for the actions of another person. Ending the video, she advised women to marry kind partners so even if he cheats he considers you by making sure you don’t find out, never putting you in a position where you are humiliated and he doesn’t disrespect you. A few weeks ago, comedian Basketmouth took to his Instagram page to announce the end of his marriage with his wife, Elsie. The piece of news broke a lot of users who expressed their shock over their break up. After Basketmouth announced the crash of their 12-year marriage, Elsie, his wife has never come out to comment on their divorce. Elsie Uzoma, the estranged wife of popular comedian Bright Okpocha a.k.a Basket Mouth, has urged Nigerians to stop marriage-shaming women.
According to the mother of two whose marriage with Basket Mouth recently crashed, women are always being shamed for not getting married at a certain age.
She said that people need to understand that when a woman isn’t married it’s because she’s probably taking her time or hasn’t found the right person yet.
Marriage is hard work, she said, and if people are forced to get married without being prepared, they might end up rush out of the marriage eventually.
