University student enters market to celebrate rag day, receives free food items from traders (Video)
Glory Francis, a Nigerian university student, took to the streets to observe rag day, an annual tradition where students have fun and receive free food items from market traders. Glory’s exuberant outing was captured in a viral TikTok video, which showcased her infectious joy and the generosity of the market community. The video, shared by Glory Francis on her TikTok account, captured the essence of the lively event. Dressed in traditional “rags,” the young lady could be seen radiating excitement as she navigated through the bustling market. Onlookers watched with amusement and delight as she weaved her way through the stalls, brimming with smiles at the sight of her enthusiasm. One of the highlights of Glory’s adventure was the unexpected act of kindness from the market women. As she interacted with the vendors, they gladly offered her an assortment of free food items. Nigerian passport moves up worldwide ranking, with visa free access to 43 countries
The Nigerian passport has moved ten times up in the world ranking making it to the 90th position globally. According to Henley Passport Index, although the Nigerian passport has moved ten times up in the world rankings, it is still considered the worst.

The Henley Passport Index has also published some 43 countries Nigerians can travel to with visas. Nottingham Forest to sign Willian on free transfer
Brazilian winger and former Chelsea star Willian has undergone a medical for a potential move to Nottingham Forest. The Brazilian was one of the stars of Fulham’s impressive season last time out, but the club only offered him a one-year extension which he immediately turned down.

Source: Getty The Cottages have since returned with an improved offer which Willian is reported to still be considering but he’s held talks with Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper and has already moved fast to undergo his medical. Sources say that Willian team’s offered him to Chelsea when talks with Fulham broke down but the Blues turned down the chance as they look to go a different direction. Should he choose Nottingham Forest, Willian will sign a lucrative deal to play at the City Ground and could have the option of finishing his career in Greece with Forest’s sister club, Olympiacos. He will also become Forest’s first summer signing should a deal be reached. The 34-year-old veteran made 30 appearances for Fulham last season. He scored five goals and provided six assists during the 2022-23 season.

Source: Getty The former Chelsea and Arsenal player is a two-time Premier League winner with the Blues, as well as winning the UEFA Cup in 2009 with Shakhtar Donetsk and the Europa League 10 years later with Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea. Willian earned 70 Brazil caps between 2011 and 2019, scoring nine times, most recently during their run to winning the Copa America in the last year of the 2010s. Fulham were one of the surprise packages of the season in their first campaign back in the English top-flight, as they finished in the top half of the table. Nottingham Forest finished in 16th place, securing their status in the Premier League with a week remaining.

Manchester United confirm departures of 6 players as free agents
Manchester United have confirmed that six players will leave the club this summer as free agents after their contracts expire. The players’ contracts have now expired and they are now formally available on free transfers.

The club’s coach, Erik ten Hag has reportedly given his blessing to see Phil Jones, David de Gea, and Axel Tuanzebe leave. Ethan Galbraith, Charlie Wellens and Di’Shon Bernard are the others leaving. A lot of focus will be on De Gea and former United star Rio Ferdinand bemoaned the way the saga around the Spaniard’s future has been handled to this point. De Gea’s previous contract had a one-year extension clause which United declined to trigger due to concerns over his £375,000-a-week wages. De Gea, who becomes a free agent on the day of his wedding, could remain with United as the Red Devils have extended an offer and are planning to continue negotiations with the 32-year-old.

Of the young trio, both Galbraith and Bernard managed a solitary appearance for the senior team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November 2019’s Europa League clash with Astana. The players released by Manchester United will now be on the lookout for a deal with any club that looks towards their direction as free agents.

Man who gives neighbours free ride to work deals with them following refusal to pay amidst fuel subsidy removal
Young man narrates the approach he took to pass a message to his neighbour whom he used to give a free ride to work but refused to pay during fuel subsidy removal. A Twitter user identified as @kelz_realist took to the platform to narrate how he handled his neighbours who were being inconsiderate despite giving them free rides when fuel used to be cheap.

How I dealt with my neighbours who I used to give free ride “I usually give some of my neighbours free ride from Mowe to Berger to and fro work. I work at Bank Anthony way Ikeja and some of them work at computer Village, Allen and Opebi. For the past eight months, I’ve been giving them free ride daily without collecting a dime from them.
When my former car broke down, they didn’t contribute a dime to help me fix it. I fixed it myself, got frustrated and sold it and bought a new car. That period, they find their way themselves Immediately they saw I’ve bought another car, thru came back for their free ride again.
When Subsidy was removed, I have them a free ride for two days coz I still had fuel which I bought with the old price. The day I filled up my tank, I cried coz it drained me. I had to tell them that going forward, they’d need to start paying for the ride to and fro.
Two of the ladies said they can’t because we are neighbours and it doesn’t make sense for them to be paying for ride… The guys said they’d pay N500 daily from Mowe to Berger. I told them no problem. The following day, I left very early without waiting for them.
I picked 6 passengers going to Berger for N500 each. They were all excited and were praying for me coz I charged them very low. They said Mowe to Berger is now N700/N800. When they realise I was going to Ikeja, they added extra N200 and collected my number so I can be picking
