Innoson Group speaks on allegations of fraud by JAMB against Ejikeme Mmesoma, the top scorer in 2023 UTME exam, as they speak on their stance as regards scholarship awarded to her. News made headlines some days ago of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) alleging that the top scorer in the 2023 UTME, Ejikeme Mmesoma, had forged her results.

While the accused student has gone online to refute this allegations with clips of her printed results, Innoson Group, which had awarded the young student university scholarship, has spoken up. He wrote: “We’re doing our independent investigation on the issue of manipulation, if we found that the girl willfully manipulated her result, we shall withdraw the scholarship, but if we observe she is innocent of the accusation, then the scholarship stands, whether she is the best or not.”

Controversial broadcaster and comedian, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel a.k.a Nedu Wazobia has alleged that most independent ladies set up their businesses using the money they got from men. The OAP in a recent episode of his controversial podcast, The Honest Bunch podcast, decided to blast some women who are in the habit of posing around as independent women who worked for everything they own.

According to him, some ladies collect money from five men to set up their businesses and then when they’re successful, they tag themselves independent. Speaking further, he added that those who really worked hard to be where they are do not sell their bodies for money or contracts. “Forget all these ladies that say ‘I’m Independent’, my dear for you to open that shop, you collected money from five different men and you are calling yourself Independent, you’re not. An Ikeja District Court granted permission for an autopsy to the management of Chrisland School to access toxicology samples for an independent forensic pathologist to evaluate.

This was in response to an application for an independent review which was served to the state and the family’s counsel, neither of whom filed a counter affidavit opposing the motion. The state counsel requested the attendance of the state pathologist at the expense of the applicant, which was not objected to by the applicant. On Tuesday, Magistrate Olabisi Fajana directed that the independent forensic pathologist’s assessment be carried out within Lagos State, with the pathologist of the deceased’s family granted access as an observer during the exercise. The family and Chrisland School’s counsel were in agreement with this decision. According to the court, items to be handed over for the independent review, include “the paraffin block of the skin sample and slides from which the diagnosis of electrocution was made. Samples of the urine, blood and other body fluid collected at autopsy. “Samples of bone and muscle taken from the deceased for purpose of independent DNA analysis. All photographs taken during the conduct of the autopsy. “Copies of any other working sample and documents made in the course of the autopsy, result of all toxicology tests conducted, the modalities of the transmission of the above listed items ‘a’ to ‘f’ shall be as decided by the Chief Medical Examiner of Lagos State. “The Chief Medical Examiner or an officer as assigned by him shall be present at all times during the transmission of the above listed items “a” to “f’ and the consultation of the Independent Forensic Pathologist of the applicant.”
