In a shocking incident that transpired on Friday evening, October 27, a 500 level student at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) was tragically shot and killed. The fatal incident unfolded on the UNIBEN campus, leaving two other students injured. The unfortunate chain of events is believed to have its roots in an earlier altercation that had taken place in Ekiadolor, a community near the university, culminating in the violent shooting incident on campus.

According to several online reports, the nature of the altercation and subsequent shootings is suspected to be related to a cult clash. It is alleged that the assailants involved in the incident may have affiliations with campus-based cult groups. A video that circulated on various social media platforms provided a harrowing visual account of the incident. The video showed a red car riddled with bullet holes and the lifeless body of a man being removed from the vehicle and transferred to the back of a pickup van for transport.

The shocking scene drew a horrified crowd of students who stood in disbelief and distress at the sight. At the scene of the shooting, bullet casings and bloodstains were evident. Abandoned on the ground was a man’s cap, adding to the grim evidence of the incident. Reports coming in say that several people have been injured after an underground gas explosion hit Johannesburg. According to reports, the gas explosion caused a lot of damage including injuring people in the process. However, the police have disclosed that it is unclear at this stage what caused the explosion, but the statement says it is possibly from gas lines underground. According to Jena, who spoke to CNN affiliate News18, the exact cause of the devastating collision has not yet been established. He emphasized that the priority at the moment is the continuous rescue operations. “We are only working (at) sending additional doctors, ambulances, buses, so all those things we are doing so we have not thought of asking what happened, how it happened,” he said. A man is grateful for life and wellbeing after he was almost hacked by a cutlass-wielding robber.

The man identified on Twitter as Dada Temitope revealed that the incident occured in the morning of April 20th, just before Otedola bridge, Lagos. A video he attached to his report showed that the robbery attempt had left the glass in the driver side in ruin. The robber had apparently slashed at it which left a huge gash on the glass. Dada thanked God for his grace as well as his street-smartness. He also added that there was a police check point just minutes away from the scene where he was almost robbed and that when he had told the officers what almost happened to him, they only expressed sympathy. “Almost got robbed this morning just before Otedola bridge. An Arise TV journalist was reportedly attacked by thugs while covering the ongoing governorship and house of assembly election at Elegushi palace in Lagos state.

The journalist has been identified as Opeyemi Ademihun and it was alleged that he was brutally attacked at the palace. They were reportedly stopped from leaving the area and their drone and camera were allegedly seized. Labour Party supporters attacked, many severely injured in Lagos (Video)

Multiple supporters of the Labour Party were attacked by hoodlums on their way to Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) for the party’s rally in Lagos.

It was earlier reported that tweeps had suspected an unusual activity on the Third Mainland Bridge where a faulty bus was allegedly planted to affect traffic and dissuade people from turning out for the event.

A video uploaded by Channels TV on Twitter has shown that supporters who had gone for the rally – which Peter Obi had appeared at – were attacked while making their way to TBS where the rally held.

Some victims had been attacked by machete welding ruffians, and they could be seen receiving medical treatment from health personnel on the scene.
