A man is grateful for life and wellbeing after he was almost hacked by a cutlass-wielding robber.

The man identified on Twitter as Dada Temitope revealed that the incident occured in the morning of April 20th, just before Otedola bridge, Lagos. A video he attached to his report showed that the robbery attempt had left the glass in the driver side in ruin. The robber had apparently slashed at it which left a huge gash on the glass. Dada thanked God for his grace as well as his street-smartness. He also added that there was a police check point just minutes away from the scene where he was almost robbed and that when he had told the officers what almost happened to him, they only expressed sympathy. “Almost got robbed this morning just before Otedola bridge. Thank God for Grace, street OT and my tinted nylon. Thank you @jidesanwoolu i took your advise I rolled up my glass but dem for don use cutlass tear my head this morning. Multiple supporters of the Labour Party were attacked by hoodlums on their way to Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) for the party’s rally in Lagos.

It was earlier reported that tweeps had suspected an unusual activity on the Third Mainland Bridge where a faulty bus was allegedly planted to affect traffic and dissuade people from turning out for the event.

A video uploaded by Channels TV on Twitter has shown that supporters who had gone for the rally – which Peter Obi had appeared at – were attacked while making their way to TBS where the rally held.
