Belgian football star, Kevin De Bruyne has been forced off the ongoing Champions League final after picking up an injury in the first half against Inter Milan. Inter had started brightly and threatened Manchester City’s goal as the English team’s nerves were visible and they caused themselves plenty of early problems in the game. Seeing De Bruyne on the floor only aided in accelerating the heartbeats of those in light blue shirts throughout the ground.

He appeared to be clutching the back of his leg. The midfielder attempted to play through the pain but was unable to continue and was taken off in the 36th minute. Phil Foden came off the bench to replace him. He held back his emotion as he made the lonely walk off the pitch. But it was a familiar story for the 31-year-old assist king.

De Bruyne was forced off in the Champions League final against Chelsea in 2021 after suffering a sickening facial injury after a clash with Antonio Rudiger in the 2021 final, leaving the pitch against Chelsea. De Bruyne recorded seven goals and 16 assists in the Premier League this term while netting twice and registering eight assists in the Champions League up until the final.

Guardiola said; “Erling [Haaland] is recovering, this afternoon we have the last training session and we are going to see how he feels. We’ll see today. At the end, the doctors and the player will decide how he feels, I spoke with him, he feels good. We will see. Life is risk in these stages, we have to take it.”

Following his last sprain contracted on February 20, the medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain recommended a ligament repair operation, in order to avoid a major risk of recurrence. 
“All of the experts consulted confirmed this need. This surgery will be performed in the coming days at ASPETAR Hospital in Doha. A period of 3 to 4 months is expected before his return to collective training.” Neymar Jr has sustained a number of instances of instability in his right ankle in recent years. Following his latest sprain on 20 February, the Paris Saint-Germain medical staff recommended a ligament repair operation to avoid a major risk of recurrence. All the experts consulted have confirmed this necessity. The surgery will be performed in the next few days at the ASPETAR hospital in Doha. It will take 3 to 4 months before he can return to training with the team. PSG is sitting on the number one spot on the Ligue 1 table and currently have an eight-point lead over second-placed Marseille. They will be facing Bayern Munich on Wednesday, March 8, in the Champions League last-16 second leg where they trail 1-0. 
The defender was hurt by a high boot as he challenged for the ball with Sekou Mara. The game was stopped for at least 10 minutes as Azpilicueta received treatment from the club’s medical staff. Azpilicueta was given oxygen but was able to wave to fans as he finally departed. Giving an update on the player, Chelsea’s coach Graham Potter told reporters that he is awake and speaking with his wife in the hospital. 
Potter said; “He’s in hospital. He is conscious and speaking to his wife. Hopefully he is in the best place and we’re monitoring. He need to take all the precautions we need to take now.”

Medical tests conducted on the Barcelona star who limped off the field grabbing his leg, produced worrisome results. Tests revealed that the player had suffered a left thigh injury to the rectus femoris. His recovery timeline is yet to be determined.
