Roberto Firmino made it a fairytale farewell at Anfield as he scored a late Liverpool equaliser against Aston Villa. The Brazilian attacker marked his final appearance in front of the Kop by stabbing home Mohamed Salah’s cross on his 361st outing for the Reds. Firmino’s leveller came after 90 minutes.

Bundesliga referee Sascha Stegemann has admitted to making an error while officiating a match between Borussia Dortmund and VfL Bochum. Though Borussia Dortmund came into the game seeking to extend its lead on the Bundesliga table, the match ended in a draw as Stegemann refused to award a clear penalty to Dortmund in the 65th minute. Video Assistant Referee, Robert Hartmann also agreed with the on-field decision. 
Acknowledging the error during an interview with WDR 2 on Saturday, April 29, Stegemann said; “I’m extremely annoyed, I feel like sh*t. It was a very, very short night [of sleep], I’m not fine with it. You get up with a bad feeling because you’re angry that you didn’t make the right decision in a scene. 
“Looking at it, it’s a penalty in the situation with Adeyemi for BVB,” he conceded. “I didn’t see it that way on the pitch. As a referee, I have the right to solve the scene on the pitch without using the video assistant unnecessarily.” Should Bayern Munich win its match against Hertha BSC on Sunday, April 30, it would move two points above current first-place Dortmund. 
Arsenal defender, William Saliba, might be missing the London club’s crucial match against Manchester City on April 26. 
The Athletic reported that the French defender who suffered a back injury during Arsenal’s Europa League quarter-final clash against Sporting CP in March, is yet to recover. He has missed Arsenal’s last five matches and this might be a huge blow to the club’s push to be crowned this season’s winner of the Premier League. 
Arsenal has only won two of the matches Saliba missed, while the other three ended in a draw. They also maintain a five-point lead at the top, but Manchester City who are their closest rival have played two games fewer.

In December Vinicius accused La Liga of continuing to do nothing about racist fans at matches, after videos on social media showed some shouting abuse and throwing objects at him the previous day at Valladolid. La Liga responded by issuing a statement condemning all forms of hate speech and saying it was following up on instances of racism at the match. Its president, Javier Tebas, said Vinicius’ accusations were “unfair and untrue”.
