A 23-year-old man has reportedly stabbed his 4-year-old nephew to death in Kilingot village, Baringo north in Kenya. The man identified as Silas Kipkosgei who stabbed his nephew was reportedly the guardian of the little boy. Source: Google One of the elders in the community, Solomon Cheptumo, told the journalist that the little boy’s grandmother came home from the farm to check up on her grandson and to serve him lunch but was unable to trace him, she then called the suspect who was inside the house but didn’t answer. “She then peeped through the window, seeing Kipkosgei sitting at the edge of the sofa watching his nephew, with some blood flowing on the sofa, she pleaded with him to open the door but he did not respond, and that’s when she suspected something was wrong and called out for help from the neighbors. “Upon arrival, we made our way inside the living room, and to our shock found Kipkosgei drinking water from a cup while staring at the body of the deceased which was lying lifeless on the sofa with blood oozing from the stabbed wounds,” neighbors said. The police reportedly arrived to stop the community from lyching the man and arrested him.

A 24-year-old pregnant lady has been apprehended for allegedly brutalizing her 7-year-old nephew for failing to recite the English alphabet. The pregnant lady, identified as Mrs. Abigail Eguta reportedly brutalized and almost blinded her nephew after he was unable to recite the English alphabet. According to reports, the pregnant woman was apprehended by concerned neighbors who took the little boy identified as Sunday, to the office of the state women and social welfare commissioner, Ify Obinabo. The little boy was the son of the pregnant lady’s sister who brought her son to stay with her for a year. The pregnant woman Mrs. Eguta confessed to beating the child for not reciting the English alphabet correctly. “I am very sorry. I didn’t intend to blind him or b€at him in the eyes, but I mistakenly did so. Please, forgive me, it is the handiwork of the devil,” she said.

EFCC arraigns Kogi Governor's nephew over N10 billion fraud

Aliyu Bello, a nephew to Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has been remanded in prison by a Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, over alleged N10.2 billion fraud.

He was arraigned alongside one Dauda Sulaiman and one Abdulsalami Hudu of the Kogi State House Administration by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
They were arraigned on a 10-count charge of misappropriation and money laundering, EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, said in a statement on Thursday, December 15.

The statement read:
“Bello and Sulaiman are accused of fraudulently withdrawing a sum of N10,270,556,800 (Ten Billion, Two Hundred and Seventy Million, Five Hundred and Fifty-six Thousand Eight Hundred Naira), from the Kogi State treasury which they delivered to a Bureau de Change operator, Rabiu Tafada, in Abuja to keep or change to foreign currencies for personal gains,” 
They have both been remanded in prison by Justice James Kolawole Omotosho pending the fulfillment of their bail conditions.
