“They took the glory meant for God and gave it to a human“ — Rev. Mbaka on outcome of presidential elections

Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka, a Nigerian Catholic priest popularly known as Father Mbaka, has expressed his thoughts about the Nigerian presidential elections.

According to him, the glory that was meant for God was given to the Labour Party by Nigerians during the elections. He went on to explain that people even referred to the father, mother, and child in the Labour Party logo as “God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”, which he believes is a form of blasphemy. Father Mbaka expressed his disappointment that Nigerians chose to give glory to a human instead of God, which he believes has brought the anger of God upon the country.

“They took the glory meant for God and gave to a human, so the anger of God befell us,” Mbaka told his members. He further knelt at the altar to ask for God’s forgiveness and urged his members to interpret his message as they deem fit. Watch the video below:

I want presidential election cancelled – Atiku states reason

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of PDP, accuses President-elect Bola Tinubu‘s supporters of causing violence during the recently concluded elections, hence it should be cancelled.

Atiku requested the cancellation of the presidential election held on Saturday, citing Tinubu’s campaign team’s admission of rigging. According to Atiku, this admission is proof of irregularities during the election, particularly in the southeast region. In a statement issued by his spokesman, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku expressed disappointment that despite stealing the people’s mandate, Tinubu’s campaign team continued to ridicule Nigerians. Atiku also pointed out that Tinubu’s loss in Lagos showed that Nigerians did not want him. “Festus Keyamo’s claim that there was massive rigging in the southeast and that the APC will be challenging the votes in that region validates our position that this election was fraught with irregularities. “Is it not funny that Tinubu claimed he wanted to replicate the developments of Lagos across Nigeria, and yet the same people of Lagos rejected him at the poll? He and his minions unleashed thugs on the people of the state and yet still lost,” he said.

PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar reveals the reason Peter Obi left his Party before the presidential primary election in 2022 and why the LP candidate lost the election.

Atiku made this known during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday regarding the February 25 Presidential election, that Obi left the PDP because he was apprehensive about the demands of the party’s governors and was in a hurry. They fought me and I fought them and I won the primary election. “So, if he was there, nothing could’ve stopped him from becoming a running mate because I had the right to choose whoever I wanted as my running mate.” Atiku on Why Peter Did Not Win the Election “Yes, agreed that he took our votes from the South-east and the South-south and that of course would not make him a president. You all know that to win the presidential election in Nigeria, you need votes from everywhere,” he stated. Requirements to become president Section 134 of the constitution stipulates the requirements a candidate must meet to be declared the winner of a presidential election. The section states that:
“(1) A candidate for an election to the office of the President shall be deemed to have been duly elected, where, there being only two candidates for the election “(a) he has the majority of votes cast at the election; and “(b) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.” Watch the video below …

Nigerian actress and businesswoman, Liz Anjorin celebrate Bola Tinubu’s victory in the just concluded presidential election. Earlier today, 1st of March, 2023, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared the winner of the 2023 presidential election. While the President-elect celebrates his victory, other members of the public have also joined in to rejoice with him. The Nollywood thespian took to her social media page, where she highlighted the factors that contributed to Tinubu’s win. According to Liz, her mentor, Tinubu won because of his love for work, as well as youth and elders.

AAC withdraws from Presidential collation centre, accuses INEC of illegality

Before Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was announced as the winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the African Action Congress (AAC) withdrew its agent from the national collation centre in Abuja over alleged non-transparency by the electoral umpire.

In a statement released shortly after the withdrawal by Femi Adeyeye, the national publicity secretary of the party, AAC who fielded Omoyele Sowore as its presidential candidate, joined other political parties in accusing INEC of breaching the electoral law after it failed to upload result sheets at the (polling) unit levels to its portal. The statement read; “Section 60 (5) of the 2022 electoral act empowers INEC to prescribe guidelines for the transmission of election results. Pursuant to that subsection, INEC clearly stipulated in clause 38 of its regulations and guidelines that election results must be transmitted electronically via the BVAS after the announcement at the polling units. “Section 64 (4a&b) of the electoral act, 2022 lends further credence to the transmission to the iRev before they are announced to Nigerians. Why is the rule being bent at this time?

“Our national secretary who is also our national election collation agent has consistently raised this breach of the electoral act and INEC guidelines at the national collation centre but the INEC chairman keeps dodging addressing these concerns. “This is why we have decided to withdraw our collation agent from the charade and illegality going on at the national collation centre since our probing questions to the commission have remained unanswered till this minute. “We call on INEC to follow the law and its own guidelines and also call for the cancellation of results not uploaded, collated and read from the server, in accordance with the electoral act and guidelines. “Elections should be reconducted in areas ridden with vote buying, intimidation, violence, technical issues with BVAS and other malpractices stated by parties and independent monitoring bodies.”

INEC declares Bola Tinubu winner of Nigeria’s presidential election

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared All Progressives Congress’ Bola Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election held last Saturday. Tinubu defeated 17 other candidates who took part in the election. He scored a total of 8,794,726 votes, the highest of all the candidates, thus meeting the first constitutional requirement to be declared the winner. He also scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required. Atiku Abubakar of the PDP came second in the election after polling 6,984,520 votes in the election. Peter Obi of the Labour Party came third in the election with a total of 6,101,533 votes while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP came fourth with 1,496,687 votes.

Tinubu, Atiku and Obi won in 12 states while Mr Kwankwaso won only in Kano. Mahmood Yakubu who made the announcement said a Certificate of Return for the President and Vice President will be presented by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, at the National Collation Centre.

Ali Baba opposes manual collation of presidential election results

Famous Nigerian actor and comedian, Ali Baba express concern about the manual collation of the just concluded 2023 presidential elections.

Following the conclusion of the February 25th Presidential election, there have been discrepancies concerning the results. In a recent post shared via the social media page of the public figure, he opposes the manual collation of the election results. According to his post, collating results manually will only succeed in rendering them useless. Pastor Chris shares vision he got from Holy Spirit about three presidential candidates (Video)

As the 2023 election draws nearer, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President of LoveWorld Incorporated has shared the vision he got from the Holy Spirit about three presidential candidates.

During a recent ministration, the cleric said the Spirit described one of the candidates as a “Jackal”. Oyakhilome added that when he searched the dictionary for the meaning of “jackal”, he saw it meant a “trickster, swindler, one that operates on behalf of another for the purpose of deception”. Keyamo called out for stealing photos from U.S festival and passing it off as those from APC presidential rally in Sokoto

Festus Keyamo, a senior lawyer and spokesman for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council has been called out for circulating photos from a festival in the U.S state of Chicago,and passing it as supporters who trooped out for Bola Tinubu’s campaign rally in Sokoto on Thursday, February 9.

Keyamo, who is also Nigeria’s Minister of Labour, had shared the photos with the caption “More pictures from the mother of all rallies in Sokoto! The signs are all there for all to see! But they are playing! Make dem dey play!! In about a fortnight, the jungle will mature!!”

However, a quick Google reverse image search revealed that the photos were from a music festival which took place in Chicago in 2021. The photos went viral at the time for a massive violation of the COVID-19 protocols as many people gathered without protective measures at the peak of the pandemic. Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has sworn to take it in good faith if he loses the presidential election. Speaking to BBC Pidgin, he stated that he would not be the first loser; hence he would accept his loss in good faith.

He went on to dismiss claims of corruption against him, emphasizing the fact that he has been investigated and nothing was discovered. He said: “All what I know, all corrupt practices or corruption allegations against me have been investigated in this country more than anybody else and nothing was found against me. That audio has disclosed nothing new.”
