Kate Henshaw reacts to criticisms for hosting a fundraiser for APC governor, Hope Uzodinma

Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw didn’t keep mum to the heavy criticisms she received for hosting APC Governor, Hope Uzodinma‘s fundraiser. Many were taken aback by the movie star’s hosting role at the celebration, considering she was a fervent advocate of the Labour party government and had harshly criticised the APC leadership.

On Thursday night in Owerri, Imo State, Kate Henshaw and comedian Okey Bakassi organised a fundraiser for APC governor, Hope Uzodinma. The governor, who is rerunning for governor of Imo state, wanted to raise money with the fundraiser.

As the event’s videos circulated online, many harshly criticised her. Kate Henshaw disclosed that a close friend had called her when she woke up to tell her that she was trending on the internet. In defence of herself, she said that she accepted her colleague’s invitation to hold a fundraiser and didn’t understand why so many people were upset about it. She claims that what sets her apart from other people is her unwavering commitment to speaking the truth as she perceives it. Kate Henshaw wrote: “Someone called me this morning to check the X app. I was invited to host a fundraiser alongside my colleague. I accepted, my prerogative. What is the noise about? Lady reacts as Phyna claims every woman has had an abortion

A young lady has dragged Phyna into the gutters for her assertion that every women have undergone one or more abortion. Phyna boldly stated that the only persons who receive criticism and judgement are those who disclose that they have had abortions. During the interview, Phyna shared her opinion on abortion and also claimed that every woman at some point in her life has had to abort a pregnancy. She said, “The issue of abortion, nah who talk ehm own dey know nah, there is no woman that will say she has not done abortion at least once or twice.”

Phyna’s claim is patently false, as the woman confirmed that she has never had an abortion. She also accused her of inaccurately portraying women.

NYSC reacts to video of corps member kneeling down in school

Video of corps member kneeling in school sparks uproar

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has reacted to a viral video of a female corps member who was asked to kneel in school. The body said it is investigating the viral video which captured the corps member undergoing an embarassing punishment at her place of primary assignment. The video showed the young being punished for an offence which was not clearly explained. She was allegedly forced to kneel down by a school proprietress. According to the dialogue heard in the short footage, it seemed that the corps member was being punished for her failure to work. From the NYSC member’s claims in her native Yoruba dialect, she said she had alluded to menstruation symptoms. The proprietress argued that if she had explained, she would have understood because she is also a woman. The video however infuriated Nigerians who alleged a habit among employers of bullying corp members at their place of primary assignment (PPA).

Adeboye reacts to accusation of sourcing power from demons

Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has addressed accusations that he sources his powers from demonic entities. These allegations have been circulating on social media and other platforms for some time. Some individuals claimed that he uses demonic powers to perform miracles and heal the sick. Some even went so far as to claim that he has a pact with the devil. During a recent church service on Sunday, July 16th, Pastor Adeboye spoke out against these allegations. He disclosed how he had heard reports that the sources of his powers are from demons in Redemption Camp. However, instead of responding to the man who made the accusations, he chose to pray for him. The clergyman stated that the man had committed an unpardonable sin by giving the Glory meant for God to demons. He cited examples in the bible to back up his statement. He reemphasized that he is praying for the peddler of such rumor.
