How FG saved N400bn in four weeks after fuel subsidy removal – IPMAN

Mr Chinedu Okonkwo, National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has disclosed that the federal government raked in N400 billion due to fuel subsidy removal in the last 30 days. GistReel reports that President Bola Tinubu declared that there would no longer be a petroleum subsidy regime as the current 2023 budget he glimpsed does not contain it.

In a meeting with oil and gas operators in February, Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited, NNPCL, stated that the country spends N400 billion monthly on fuel subsidies. Speaking on the state of the sector owing to the removal of the subsidy and changes in the country’s foreign exchange market, Okonkwo told Daily Post that the deregulation has a long time impact. According to him, the development would either lead to an increase in fuel price or a decrease depending on the market-determined price of forex. He added that the impact on the masses would gradually decrease by introducing Compressed Natural Gas, CNG, into the sector. “You know how much the government is spending monthly on fuel subsidies payment, but that expenditure to the tune of dollars or Naira will be saved. “The government has indeed reduced spending on fuel subsidies, though the thing is biting, so we have drafted an alternative in Compressed Natural Gas, CNG,” he said.

However during the scene, she started drowning but the movie directors and others seated around thought she was acting until Mercy Johnson drew their attention that she was losing her breath. She wrote; “Almost drowned while filming on set yesterday, but everyone thought I was acting. It dawned on them after some seconds, and I was losing my breath. Thanks to Aunty Mercy Johnson and the stuntman who noticed after some seconds and helped me out.”

In the clip, vixens donned in bikinis could be seen twerking on bunks, however immediately Naira Marley danced a little from the position he initially stood, one of the bunks collapsed an inch from his feet.

Veteran actress, Kate Henshaw recalls how she almost boarded a plane in 2012 that was fated to crash.
The actress took to her Instagram page to recount how she had almost died in the 2012 Dana flight that was to take off from Abuja to Lagos.

What had saved her from boarding that flight was lateness, which was unusual as she has always been a stickler for punctuality.
The actress thanked God for her life and the life of those who had died on that plane.
