Atsu’s lifeless body was found on Saturday, 17th of February 2023, twelve days following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria. In a tweet via Twitter, Craze Crown recalled the Ghanaian footballer’s impact on his life when he lost his father in 2015. According to the content creator, Christian Atsu paid his school fees until he graduated from school.

Chrisland school: “All the staff are under spiritual bondage”

A Nigerian lady identified as Joan Agun has alleged that Chrisland staff are under spiritual bondage. According to her, none of the staff after able to speak up whenever a situation arises because they are all under bondage. She further questioned why a top school like that has no available first aid in case of emergencies, and why there was no close monitoring of the kids after the installation of the electric equipment that allegedly got a young girl electrocuted. The Lagos State government orders the closure of Chrisland School in Opebi, Ikeja, following the death of a 12-year-old student, Whitney Adeniran. In a statement released to the press on Sunday, February 12, 2023, the Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo, said the school would remain shut pending the outcome of a full investigation.

The commissioner expressed condolences to the loved ones and acquaintances of the deceased and offered prayers for her soul to rest in peace. However, he urged for calm and guaranteed that a thorough investigation into the matter would be conducted without any compromise. “No effort will be spared in investigating the incident,” the Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo stated.

In a tearful viral video on social media, Mrs Blessing Adeniran said her daughter, Desola Whitney Adeniran attended her school, Chrisland school, Opebi’s inter-house sports, last Thursday, 9th of February. She snorted that she was present at the event but could not find her daughter, who belonged to palm house. Mrs Adeduran later learnt that her daughter had fainted. According to her, nobody called or mentioned what had happened to her daughter, Whitney. Mrs Adeniran said the staff mentioned to her that Whitney had been rushed to the hospital. On getting to the hospital where her daughter was rushed, she met her corpse there. The distraught mother mentioned that the school claims her 12-year-old daughter had suffered a cardiac arrest and slumped. She insists her baby girl was not sick and never had any pre-existing heart condition and wonders why she would suffer a cardiac arrest. A white woman who saw through the tricks of a Yahoo boy has advised him to go back to school for retraining. The white lady, who is a nurse and surprisingly speaks fluent Pidgin English, took to social media to share how one tried to scam her.

She shared the email she had purportedly received from the internet scammer which she said had an unprofessional salutation. The Yahoo boy posed as a CIA official and notified the white lady that she had supposedly been selected to become a CIA agent. Veteran Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye has revealed how she always had low self esteem while growing up. She recounted her experiences while growing up and how she was still bedwetting in secondary school.

She further talked about her debut in Nollywood stating that the first salary she earned from her debut movie was N12,500. She revealed this in a session with YouTuber Hawa Magaji, adding that the producers informed her that she will get paid six months after shooting, causing her dad to handle the budget of N50k while shooting. In her words: “If I’m in a room with more than 10 people, I start to have an anxiety attack. I think my social anxiety came from having low self-esteem issues growing up, and not being with my parents. I grew up with this thought in my head that nobody wanted to be around me. “I don’t really like human beings because I feel like they are full of shit based on my experience. Most times I love to be by myself. I’d rather not deal with the hurt that people tend to bring. I’d rather just be on my own and just be around the few people that I’ve given access to me. “I’m still dealing with that even at this stage. That’s why I’m very close to my dad because [he] was very big on helping me with that. I wet the bed for a long time. I’m talking about SS2 and SS3. My dad laughed it off. “My first ever acting gig, they told me they were going to pay me N12,500 and they were going to pay me six months after shooting. My dad paid for my shooting budget of N50,000 during the shoot.”
