Sources close to President Bola Tinubu have disclosed that the deal to make former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio president of the senate was sealed a day before the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress. The Rivers state government has sealed a campaign office belonging to the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

Before the campaign office was sealed, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has been at loggerheads with Atiku Abubakar over the national chairman of the opposition party, Iyorchia Ayu’s stay in office despite his calls for his removal.
Wike’s spokesperson, Kelvin Ebiri told newsmen on Friday, December 23, that they obtained a court order to seal the campaign office which violated an executive order that prohibits the location of campaign offices in residential areas.

“The Rivers state government approached a court which ordered that the place should be sealed up.
