Famous singer and political activist, Seun Kuti breaks silence following an assault on a policeman in Lagos captured on a viral video. The singer had been spotted violently confronting a policeman which led to slapping and pushing the uniformed officer along the Third Mainland bridge.

Clearing the air on the incident, Seun Kuti without stating the exact issue that led to the confrontation affirmed that the officer tried to kill him and his family. He pressed on to urge Nigerians to mind their businesses to avoid the policeman losing his job as he possesses a piece of evidence to back his claim. In his word; “He tried to kill me and my family. The founder of NairaLand, Seun Osewa apologizes to the Igbos over an advert placed on his platform concerning the just-concluded elections. Seun apologizes to the Igbos via his website, over a political advert that was made on his page. The advert stated, “Lagos can never be run from Anambra; go and vote.” He insists that his platform should have had a “clear policy” against such misleading adverts. Dear Igbo People,
I sincerely apologize for allowing a toxic political banner advert that said, “Lagos can never be run from Anambra; go and vote” to run on Nairaland for several hours on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
The mischievously worded banner advert appears to have been part of an ethnically divisive political campaign aimed at securing Lagos State for the ruling party by instilling fear in Yoruba people, making them believe that Igbo people intended to “take over” Lagos State. Such ethnically divisive political campaigns have no place in a forward-thinking democracy, and for this reason, the ad should have been taken down instantly. No harm was intended, but my lack of forethought about the ethics of that type of advert led to a disappointing outcome. We should have had a clear policy against accepting negative and ethnically divisive ads on Nairaland, we should have communicated it to all advertisers, and we should have taken down any advert that violated that policy instantly. This will all be in place before the next election.
We made almost N16,000 from the ad. We will double it and donate it to victims of political violence in Lagos.
Please, do NOT give up on Nigeria. The times are challenging, but TOGETHER, we will overcome.

Popular actor, Seun Sean Jimoh has expressed concern over recent trend among women who divorced their husbands.

The thespian took to his Instagram page to pose a question to ex married women who have decided to chase other people’s husbands after their union goes sour. According to him, most married women after getting a divorce because they caught their husbands cheating, they begin dating other married men. He revealed that he had witnessed this a number of times that it has become baffling to him. “I really don’t understand why a woman will leave her husband for cheating and start dating a married ma when she becomes single I have seen this happen on a few occasions and it just leaves me baffled…. D’banj reacts to sponsoring attack on Seun Kuti

Nigerian artist D’Banj debunked rumours online of sponsoring the attack on his fellow colleague, Seun Kuti during his clash with Peter Okoye over Peter Obi.

During the clash between Peter Okoye and Seun Kuti over a comment made again the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, a post purportedly written by D’banj insulting Seun surfaced online. In the post, that went viral on social media, it was seen that an account with D’banj’s name said the son of the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Seun has a low IQ due to substance abuse and should focus more on music than ranting on social media without offering any solution to Nigeria’s problems. However, the musician has come out to debunk the post that went viral. In a statement via his lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the artist laid a disclaimer on the viral post. The statement read: “This is to notify the general public that Mr. Oladapo Daniel (D’Banj) never made nor could make any derogatory or disparaging statement against anybody, especially within the entertainment industry, nor has he directed the publication of any such material on his behalf. Never! The general public is thus advised to disregard the mischief of a publication maliciously pushed to drive traffic to gossip blogs and stoke non-existent conflict between Oladapo Daniel (D’Banj) and his well-regarded colleagues in the industry. “For the records, D’banj authored no statement against his friend and brother Seun Kuti, and he is as perplexed as the general public by the publication falsely attributed to him. “Dbanj’s view is that in the entertainment industry, they are all one big family and that though political ideologies may differ and could be expressed in heated ways, he holds that the irrefutable truth is that elections will come and go and they all will and must remain one big family”

Singer Seun Kuti has come out to defend an old tweet dug out by social media users hailing Tinubu or ushering President Buhari into power.

Peter Okoye of music duo, P-Square has clashed with artist Seun Kuti over a comment the latter made about presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Mike Premium slams Peter Okoye over comment on Seun Kuti

Talent manager, Mike Premium has silenced Peter Okoye for saying that Seun Kuti has ‘erased his father’s history.

It will be recalled that NigezieXtreme yesterday, 7th of February reported that Seun Kuti called presidential aspirant, Peter Obi an opportunist. Following his remark, a member of the P-square group, Peter Okoye slammed Kuti, adding that he has ‘erased his father’s history’. In his words: “Dude just erased his fathers History! You said only the people of Nigeria can save Nigeria! Is PO and the rest candidates no the Nigerian people?…. SHAME! SHAME!! SHAME!!!” His remark did not quite sit well with a famous talent manager, Mike Premium who resorted to calling Peter Okoye “dumb”. “@peterpsquare you are dum • for saying Seun Kuti has erased his father’s name from history. I’ve always known you to be dumb. What Fela did can never be erased and it’s not bad for people to have their own view when it comes to politics. It did not take long before Peter Okoye replied to Mike Premium. In a post shared via his Insta-tory, Peter revealed that Mike was only speaking out of “frustration”.
