A 25-year-old lady who relocated from Europe has started life afresh as a vulcanizer in Edo State, Nigeria. The lady has been identified as Becky Osarume Osagie. She disclosed that she had gotten to Italy from Libya in 2015 and returned to Nigeria in 2017.

Photo source: Google While speaking with BBC News Pidgin, the lady said that she spent N400,000 on her trip to Libya with the help of an agent. She was consequently made to agree that upon arriving in Italy, she would work to pay back to the agent £35,000 (N17 million). Sharing her story, Becky disclosed how she endured the Libya road challenges and stayed in prison for two weeks with the hope of a better life in Italy but took it upon herself to return to Nigeria as the only work presented to her there was prostitution. She then returned to Nigeria in 2017 to start life afresh and developed an interest in vulcanizing after watching a popular Nollywood actress act the role in a movie. According to Becky, she has no regrets whatsoever about returning to Nigeria.
