Why I stopped wearing wigs

Award winning Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi Wellington, has sparked reactions with her recent revelation.
The mother of one revealed in a recent interview that she has chosen to stop wearing wigs.

This is coming shortly after she was dragged for ‘haphazardly’ dressing to Kemi Adetiba’s wedding and rocking cornrows.
Replying her critics, Adesua said she has always been a simple lady and feels more comfortable with the hairstyle. She also noted that ancient African women wore braids and were loved for it.
She said;
“I’ve been wearing cornrows a lot lately on purpose. I feel like my most authentic self when i wear braids, plaits or when I wear my hair out. If you’ve followed me closely, you’d know what I mean. You’d know this isn’t new.
In general, I believe in keeping it simple. Whether it’s from my clothes, to my hair, to my lifestyle.
So I, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, am out here, holding it down for the simple girls. The ones who rock cornrows, the minimalists…
I hope you look at me and feel pride KNOWING that these rows our ancestors wore are still a thing to be proud of. I hope you see me and rocks yours with pride if you want to but above all, may you know that you are more than your hair no matter how you choose to wear it and more than your clothes, no matter what styles you choose to wear.
I do this for the girls deemed ‘too simple’. There is not a single thing wrong with simplicity. We may be ‘simple’ but there is not a single thing simple about us. Raise your glass if you are a SG.
Saying this so you stop questioning who you are. Embrace it. It’s ok to be yourself. It’s more than ok, It’s great. I’m definitely a millennial. The number of times I’ve had to post and repost this proves it. Gosh.I will still wear wigs when I feel like it sha.”

Why I stopped professing love for DJ Cuppy – Broda Shaggi opens up

Nigerian skit maker, Samuel Perry, popularly known as Broda Shaggi, has revealed why he stopped professing love for DJ Cuppy in his skits.

During a live broadcast on Hip TV, the comedian disclosed that he stopped referring to DJ Cuppy as his love interest because his content had evolved.
He said,
“It was part of the content when I started that time but now content has evolved. We have moved to another content.”

Speaking further, Broda Shaggi disclosed that he had taken the profession as a fulltime job for himself.
“I have taken this as my 24-7 job. Every time I create content, I create my time to plan the shoot. No time. I don’t go out that much. I am more of an indoor person. I don’t club, not that it’s a bad thing, it’s just my person.
“My home inspires me. I live alone, I get inspiration when I am alone and most of the time when I am alone you just see me laughing. I live alone, jot things down, and write stories,” he said.

Mechanic laments after being stopped and extorted by VIO, Police, and LASTMA in one day

An auto repairman has taken to social media to recount his shocking encounter with multiple agencies of law enforcement.

The mechanic revealed that he was stopped by three agencies of law enforcement and it all happened in one day in Lagos.
According to a Twitter user who shared the post, the repairman took to his WhatsApp to lament about his ordeal as he revealed how it happened.

According to the mechanic identified as Akorede, he was first blocked by VIO agent at Oyingbo and questioned about his fractured windscreen.
The inspector attempted to force him to pay a N40k fine, but after speaking with the owner of the car and explaining things, he was only allowed to go after paying N5k.
While driving out of VIO office, he was pulled over by a police officer who accused him of violating traffic lights. He explained why, but the officer paid no attention; however, he took advantage of an opportunity to flee when officer was talking to someone else.
At Alagomeji, just when he had finished making use of ATM, LASTMA officials rushed him, ready to fine him for not wearing a belt.
