Nigeria’s tallest man, Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, has died at the age of 48 after suffering from prolonged sickness. The popular reality TV star and actor, widely recognised as the tallest man in Nigeria who stood 7 ft 4 had reportedly been ill for months due to a reported battle with chronic hip arthritis.

Afeez Agoro It was gathered that he was rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, yesterday evening, June 14, after he developed some complications weeks after he sought financial help in order to undergo surgery. He died around 7:30pm last night. It was also confirmed that his burial arrangement commenced at his residence in Community Road, Akoka. His last post on Facebook was on May 28 after he recovered from a hip replacement. He posted: “Thank God Almighty for a successful operation now it’s time for therapy.” GistReel reports that Agoro had cried for financial help to undergo surgery due to Chronic hip arthritis. Appealing for help, the tallest man in Nigeria said he needs to undergo an operation to replace his hip’s ball and socket joints. He was seen in a viral video shared by King Tunde Ednut on his official Instagram Page. The post reads; “APPEAL FOR HELP!!! Afeez Oladimeji Agoro, aka Tallest Man in Nigeria, is down and needs to undergo an operation to replace his hip’s ball and socket joints for the giant to walk again. Phillip Ayobami, a former corper alias tallest, refutes claims made by Ruth Innocent, an ex-colleague a.k.a shortest corper on their romantic relationship following their viral photos on social media. Ruth had stated in a Facebook post alleging that they fell in love during the orientation camp and had been together ever since. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Phillip Ayobami denied a relationship with Ruth. He accused her of being a clout chaser for the sake of attention on social media.

His statement reads in part; “In view of the above, I want to categorically state that I and Innocent Ruth met in the year 2021 at Kayama NYSC orientation camp (Bayelsa State) where we were brought together as the tallest and shortest corps members as part of activities by the NYSC to create fun in camp. “We never had any relationship during and after the orientation camp. It been two years those photos were taken and I haven’t set my eyes on her for over two years now (sic). “I hereby advice Innocent Ruth to take down the post from all her social media platforms else face legal action”, he wrote.

Two corps members who met at NYSC orientation camp are now getting set to tie the knot after a long time of friendship. Their photos broke the internet and stirred massive reactions due to their obvious height difference.

According to them, they were identified as the tallest and shortest corpers at the NYSC camp, making them an unusual pair. Sharing photos with her man, Innocent Ruth wrote:
