Temitope Adebayo, known as Tope Maggie. Tope’s achievement marks a significant win for Nigeria, reclaiming the title for the longest continuous cooking from Alan Fisher, who had recently dethroned chef Hilda Bassey after her 93-hour record. Tope studied Hotel Management at the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, and inherited the name ‘Maggie‘ from his mother, under whom he learned cooking. He currently manages a chain of restaurants in Ogbomoso. Nigerians have gathered to cheer the viral Ogbomosho chef, Tope Maggie, as he cooks towards setting a Guinness World Record for 200-hour cook-a-thon to break the Irish chef’s record. It would be recalled that the former record set by the Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci had been broken by an Irish chef who cooked for 119 hours.
