A car wash attendant in the Rumueme area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, had a harrowing close call with death on Sunday afternoon, as he reportedly crashed a client’s vehicle while test driving it. The incident, which unfolded in broad daylight. According to a post by Facebook user Justice Ori, the incident occurred on Sunday, October 29, 2023. The vehicle owner had brought his car to the local car wash for a routine cleaning, an ordinary task that took a terrifying turn.

The car wash employee, after finishing the cleaning, decided to test his driving skills in the client’s vehicle. This impromptu test drive quickly turned into a disaster, as the vehicle careened out of control and ended up inside a drainage ditch. Bystanders who witnessed the incident rushed to the scene to provide assistance to the trapped attendant. Miraculously, he narrowly escaped death, and with the help of the community members, they managed to extricate him from the car.

The vehicle, however, sustained noticeable scratches and damage as a result of the crash. At the time of the Facebook post, the owner of the car was reportedly unaware of the incident, leaving them in the dark about the unfortunate turn of events that had transpired at the car wash.; “Happened this afternoon in Rumueme area of Port Harcourt. A Man drove his car to car wash, the car washer after washing the car decided to test his driving experience, the next thing we saw him and the car inside the drainage. It took the help of people around to bring him out as he narrowly escaped death. The car has sustained scratches meanwhile the owner of the car is unaware of the incident as the time of this post,” the post read. See more photos below;

This comes hours after Blessing CEO, an Instagram personality, posted a statement on her social media page, claiming that Davido owes IVD Motors millions of Naira for the purchase of Israel’s vehicle.

You and this guy are friends; he paid you in full to do music. However, ever since he faced difficulties, you’ve been giving money left and right, but you’re still refusing to pay him. Adams Fatimata, a dedicated midwife at a district hospital in Ghana, demonstrated unwavering dedication and bravery as she helped deliver a baby boy in a moving vehicle. With her seven years of experience as a midwife, Fatimata selflessly came to the aid of a pregnant woman who unexpectedly went into labor during their journey.

Despite the lack of protective equipment, such as gloves, Fatimata felt compelled to intervene and ensure the safe delivery of the baby boy. Sitting behind the expectant mother at the time, she could not bear the thought of letting the newborn fall onto the bus. She said; “At first, I was panicking. I have been working in midwifery for seven years, but when I encountered that case, I panicked because I didn’t even have protective garments like gloves. I had to use my bare hands to collect the baby; I couldn’t just watch the baby fall on the bus.” The midwife’s bravery and quick thinking shone through as she skillfully assisted the pregnant woman in giving birth amid the challenging circumstances of a moving vehicle. Fatimata’s intervention proved successful, and she safely delivered a bouncing baby boy, bringing immeasurable joy and relief to both the mother and herself. Reflecting on the incredible event, Fatimata described it as the most fulfilling moment of her seven-year career in midwifery. “It’s fulfilling and joyous. Since my seven years of midwifery, today is my most fulfilling moment because I feel like I have saved a mother in her vulnerable state,” she expressed with heartfelt emotion. Following the delivery, both the new mother and her baby were promptly provided with the necessary medical care at a nearby clinic. The news of Fatimata’s heroic actions quickly spread, aided by a video interview uploaded on YouTube by JoyNews.
