Nasir Idris of the All Progressives Congress has been announced by the INEC Returning Officer, Professor Saidu Yusuf, as the winner of the governorship polls in Kebbi State.

Following the supplementary election held last Saturday, Nasir Idris made a total of 409,225 votes, while his closest rival, General Aminu Bands of the PDP, secured 360,940 votes. The outcome of the election led to jubilations across the state by Idris’ supporters, while PDP supporters were left in shock. During his acceptance speech, Governor-elect Idris promised to lead an all-inclusive government, building on the successes of Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu. “Let me use this opportunity to thank our teeming supporters who turned out en masse to vote APC into the office to continue enjoying the dividends of democracy. “To those who we contested with from other parties, you should know we have no other state than Kebbi. You should therefore join hands with us to move the state forward,” he said.

Big Brother Titans South African born housemate Khosi has emerged winner of the first edition of the Big Brother Titans reality television show. This comes after 78 days on the show which witnessed a series of drama, competitions, and loads of fun between 24 housemates from Nigerian and South Africa combined. Khosi survived all six weeks that she was nominated for possible eviction and heading to the final week among the top 6 housemates. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Labour Party’s Alex Otti the winner of the Abia governorship election. Alex Otti Alexx Otti overtook the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Okey Ahiwe, in the March 18 gubernatorial elections. According to the vice-chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Mrs Oti, the LP candidate defeated his rival with 175,467 votes. This declaration from INEC comes after some residents and supporters of the Labour Party (LP) in Abia state, in their hundreds launched a protest in Umuahia against INEC asking them to declare Alex Otti as the winner The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidates pulled 88,529 votes, while Young Peoples’ Party (YPP) came third with 28,972 votes.  This win is the Labour Party’s first victory in the 2023 election

It is no news that Fubara is the anointed candidate of the incumbent Governor, Nyesom Wike. The Returning Officer who announced the election result on Monday night said Fubara secured 302,614 votes while the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Pastor Tonye Cole, came second with a total number of 95,274 votes. FUbara SDP governorship candidate, Senator Magnus Abe, came third with a total of 46,981 votes. The PDP governorship candidate won in all 23 local government areas of the State. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the NNPP candidate, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf winner of Kano State.

According to the declaration of INEC, the votes Abba Yusif pulled to defeat the incumbent deputy governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Dr. Nasir Yusuf Gawuna was 1, 019, 602 while the latter also pulled 890,705 votes. The governorship candidate for the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), Abba Kabir Yusuf won Kano State with 128,995 votes. “That Abba, Kabir Yusuf having scored the highest number of votes and having satisfied the requirements of the law is returned elected dated this day 20, March 2023,” declared the Professor. So far, NNPP has won 30 out of the 44 Local Government Areas in the state, while APC won 14.

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ladi Adebutu, polled 262,383 votes to come second, thus trailing the winner with 13,915 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared All Progressives Congress’ Bola Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election held last Saturday. INEC declares Bola Tinubu winner of Nigeria’s presidential election Tinubu defeated 17 other candidates who took part in the election. He scored a total of 8,794,726 votes, the highest of all the candidates, thus meeting the first constitutional requirement to be declared the winner. He also scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required. Atiku Abubakar of the PDP came second in the election after polling 6,984,520 votes in the election. Peter Obi of the Labour Party came third in the election with a total of 6,101,533 votes while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP came fourth with 1,496,687 votes.

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has emerged as the winner in Zamfara State.

The collation officer for the Zamfara State presidential election, Professor Kashim Shehu of the Federal University of Birnin Kebbi, announced the results in Gusau, the state capital, in the early hours of Tuesday. Kashim noted that Tinubu won 12 out of 14 Local Government Areas in the state, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party won two. According to the results announced at the presidential election collation center, Tinubu polled 298,396 votes. The former Lagos State governor was closely followed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 193,978 votes. Other top contenders were Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) who scored 4,044 votes and the Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) with 1,660 votes.

Shehu declared that votes in 167 polling units were canceled due to over-voting, insecurity, and disruptions by thugs. The total number of registered voters in the state was 1,879,308, while 527,137 of them were accredited for the poll. A total of 502,923 valid votes were recorded and 16,508 void votes, bringing the total votes cast to 519,431.
